The products you use to wash, condition and style your human-hair wigs can make a difference in how the hair looks, feels and behaves over time.

These are a few products currently in my rotation depending on what the unit needs — especially when I’m working with color-treated, dry or styled hair.

I’m big on getting the look without piling unnecessary product onto the hair. Soft. Moveable. Polished. ✨

Your styling tools matter. A good heat tool with consistent heat, paired with the right technique, can give you a smoother, more polished finish without having to keep going over the hair again and again.

And when you’ve invested in a quality human-hair wig, how you maintain and style it matters too. ✨

Okayyyy… maybe I need to bring Tracy back. 👀🩷

I made this Pretty Piece a few years ago, and going back through the original footage reminded me why I loved her so much.

The curls. The layers. The face framing. And of course — completely glueless. ✨

Looking at her with 2026 eyes, there are definitely a few things I’d do differently now. A softer hairline, updated construction and a little Pretty Pieces upgrade while keeping the look that made Tracy Tracy.

Because growth as a wig maker also means being able to look at your older work and say, “Yeah… I can make that even better now.” 🩷

So before I start pulling out bundles and a closure…

Same wig. Completely different Pretty Piece. 👀🩷

This one started as a U-part wig that I made and wore myself — but instead of retiring the hair, I decided to see what else I could turn her into.

I completely deconstructed the original unit, rebuilt her with a lace closure, lightened the hair to create a fresh canvas, and finished her with an entirely new custom color. ✨

Sometimes good hair doesn’t need to be thrown away. It just needs a new vision.

Pretty Pieces offers wig revamps and reconstruction services for qualifying units and hair. Services can range from refreshing and restyling to more extensive transformations like lace replacement, reconstruction and custom color.
