Weekly Pick Your Practice | This Week

Sometimes, what we need most is a moment to pause long enough to hear ourselves.

This week, we’re inviting you to choose a card and give yourself a little space to reflect. You might find an affirmation you need to believe, a question worth sitting with, or a mindful practice that helps you feel more present.

Take a breath. Choose the card that catches your attention, and give yourself time to receive what it offers.

No pressure to have all the answers. Just a little time to check in with yourself.

Which card did you pick this week? Drop your number in the comments.

Save your card so you can return to it throughout the week, and share this post with someone who could use a moment for themselves.

Your practice doesn’t have to be big to make a difference. Start where you are.

Black men are built for more than surviving pressure.
They are built for purpose. For healing. For joy. For vulnerability.
For community. For becoming.

This October, join us for the 2026 Black Men’s Mental Health Summit, a culturally grounded space created for Black men to gather, learn, reflect, heal, and build.
Under this year’s theme, Built for More: Purpose Over Pressure, we will hold honest conversations around mental health, wellness, leadership, identity, grief, financial wellness, vulnerability, and collective healing.
This is about more than awareness. It is about creating space for sustained connection, support, growth, and community.

Tribe,

Life gets heavy… exhausting sometimes. There is no community care without reckoning with the things that threaten our community.

Name it. Su***de.

Black people die by su***de at alarming rates. And they are just going up.

Someone reading this is questioning whether you should stay or not.

Someone you know isn’t sure if tomorrow will come.

This is simply a balm for those hard moments.

And no, this meditation won’t cure grief, depression, racism, trauma etc.

But it’s my hope that it’s a nod to let you know that you are SEEN. I see you trying to keep it all together. I promise you are not a burden.

Please stay, even if it’s just for the next moment.

Send this meditation to someone who may need it. Save this meditation for when you need it.

I love yall Tribe 🤞🏽✨

September is Su***de Awareness Month, a time to bring awareness, compassion, and honest conversation to a topic that too often lives in silence.

These affirmations are gentle reminders that you are allowed to ask for help and do not have to carry everything alone. Save them for the days you need them and share them with someone who may need these words today.

You are here. You matter. Your life has value. 🤎

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 in the United States for immediate support.
