Your child’s first visit should feel supportive, unrushed, and centered around your family’s needs.

At Ivy Pediatrics, visits are designed to give families time to talk through your concerns, your child’s development, and the questions that matter most to you as a parent.

From newborns to teenagers, my goal is for families to feel informed, supported, and confident in their child’s care. And not just during the appointment, but afterward too.

Because parents deserve care that feels personal, reassuring, and connected every step of the way.

I didn’t just choose a name. I chose a meaning.

Ivy Pediatrics is named after my daughter, Ivy, which means “God’s gift.” Beyond being personal, ivy also represents growth, resilience, and being nurtured over time.

That is the heart of how I approach care. Not rushed visits, but relationships built slowly and intentionally with every child and family we serve.

Because the best kind of care is not just given for a moment, it is nurtured through every stage of a child’s growth.

So excited to join this incredible group of professionals for the Bridging the Birthing Gap™ Summit this weekend as a moderator.

One thing I love about this summit is that it brings together voices from across maternal, newborn, and pediatric care to have honest conversations about what families actually experience after birth.

Because families don’t experience care in silos. And our conversations shouldn’t happen in silos either.

Grateful to be part of this important discussion. Thank you to Dr. Jessica Daigle for creating space for these important conversations.🤍

I’m honored to be serving as a moderator for the upcoming Bridging the Birthing Gap™ Virtual Summit happening May 15–16.

I’ll be moderating Session 4:
“Who Families Need and When: Supporting Families After Birth.”

One of the things I see every day as a pediatrician is that families don’t stop needing support after delivery or hospital discharge. In many ways, that’s when the real transition begins.

The postpartum period is not just about recovery. It’s about navigating feeding, sleep deprivation, emotional health, infant care, changing family dynamics, follow-up appointments, and often trying to do all of that while feeling overwhelmed and under-supported.

I’m looking forward to being part of an important conversation about:
✨ what families truly need after birth
✨ where gaps in care still exist
✨ and what more connected, collaborative postpartum support could look like for mothers, babies, and families

I’m especially excited to learn alongside professionals across maternal, newborn, pediatric, lactation, mental health, and community care spaces as we work toward more family-centered care together.

Thank you to Dr. Jessica Daigle for creating space for these conversations.

Care should never feel like a rushed conversation you didn’t get to finish.

I started Ivy Pediatrics after seeing how many families left visits feeling unheard, rushed, or still searching for answers. Not because their doctor didn’t care, but because the traditional system often doesn’t allow enough time, access or space for real connection.

I wanted to create something different.

I built Ivy Pediatrics to change that experience. A practice where families feel supported, unrushed, and truly connected to their pediatrician., with the time to ask questions, feel informed, and feel confident in their child’s care.

Because when families feel heard, care feels different.

Hi, I’m Dr. Michelle Allen.

I created Ivy Pediatrics to be a space where families feel heard, supported, and never rushed.

A place where questions are welcome, and care feels calm, clear, and reassuring.

With over a decade of experience in pediatric care, I’m here to support your family with compassion, clarity, and evidence-based guidance every step of the way.

You deserve a pediatrician who listens.

When a family enrolls in my Fourth Trimester Care package, I prepare a small welcome gift for both baby and mom 🤍

The newborn stage is beautiful, but it can also feel overwhelming. My goal is to make sure families feel supported, prepared, and cared for during those first weeks at home.

This package includes pediatric medical care, direct access to me by text and phone, postpartum guidance and support for parents through the fourth trimester… Plus a few thoughtful touches to celebrate this special time.

The first weeks with a newborn are beautiful, emotional, and often overwhelming.

Many families need more guidance and support during this stage than traditional pediatric visits allow.

That’s why I created the Fourth Trimester Package at Ivy Pediatrics. It’s a more thoughtful approach to newborn care during those early weeks of life.

Because the fourth trimester deserves just as much attention as the first three.

If you’re expecting or recently welcomed a baby, this program was designed with you in mind 🤍

One of the biggest misconceptions in healthcare is that more visits equal better care.

In reality, better care comes from access, continuity, and trust.

When families know their pediatrician, when questions are answered before they become emergencies, and when prevention is prioritized, outcomes improve for children and parents.

This belief is at the heart of how I practice medicine. It’s also why I’m deeply committed to a care model that give families time, access, and peace of mind—not just a slot on a schedule.

Healthcare isn’t just about treating illness.
It’s about what happens long before and long after the visit ends.

I built my pediatric practice on a simple belief—that children deserve care that is unhurried, thoughtful, and rooted in trust.

At Ivy Pediatrics, families aren’t navigating long waits, rushed visits, or unanswered questions. They have direct access, continuity of care, and the reassurance that their child is truly known—not just charted.

I’ve seen how much changes when parents feel supported and children are cared for in an environment built around prevention rather than reaction.

This is the kind of healthcare I believe in—and the kind of care every family deserves.

It’s a privilege to care for families this way.
