I’m honored to be serving as a moderator for the upcoming Bridging the Birthing Gap™ Virtual Summit happening May 15–16.
I’ll be moderating Session 4:
“Who Families Need and When: Supporting Families After Birth.”
One of the things I see every day as a pediatrician is that families don’t stop needing support after delivery or hospital discharge. In many ways, that’s when the real transition begins.
The postpartum period is not just about recovery. It’s about navigating feeding, sleep deprivation, emotional health, infant care, changing family dynamics, follow-up appointments, and often trying to do all of that while feeling overwhelmed and under-supported.
I’m looking forward to being part of an important conversation about:
✨ what families truly need after birth
✨ where gaps in care still exist
✨ and what more connected, collaborative postpartum support could look like for mothers, babies, and families
I’m especially excited to learn alongside professionals across maternal, newborn, pediatric, lactation, mental health, and community care spaces as we work toward more family-centered care together.
Thank you to Dr. Jessica Daigle for creating space for these conversations.
