"I'm honored to once again serve as a Walk Team Captain for the Center for Black Women's Wellness AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run 2026!
This walk is deeply personal to me—not only because I had the privilege of serving as Board Chair of the Center, but because I believe that healthcare is ultimately about serving our communities.
While tremendous progress has been made in the fight against HIV/AIDS, the epidemic continues to disproportionately impact Black communities, particularly Black women in the South. Too often, HIV intersects with broader health inequities, including limited access to healthcare, economic instability, stigma, and the social drivers of health that affect families across Metro Atlanta.
For decades, the Center for Black Women's Wellness has been on the front lines of addressing these inequities by providing HIV prevention and education, confidential testing, women's healthcare, maternal and child health services, and programs that empower women and strengthen families throughout Metro Atlanta.
Every dollar raised through AIDS Walk Atlanta helps support organizations like the Center that are working every day to:
🌟 Increase access to HIV prevention, testing, and care
🌟 Reduce stigma through education and community outreach
🌟 Address health inequities affecting Black women and their families
🌟 Build healthier, stronger communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
💜 I'd be honored to have you join my team and/or support our efforts with a donation.
