PA Rebekah Halpern is widely recognized for helping bring palliative care into neonatal and pediatric intensive care settings. Through her work with the NCCPA, she helped support the development of the Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in this field, helping to formalize training and recognition for clinicians who specialize in hospice and palliative care. This Friday of Archives Month the PA History Society presents from our museum collection: The badge from the first AAPA annual conference! The conference was named The National Conference of New Health Practitioners and was open to other healthcare providers, such as nurse practitioners. The conference was held at the Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1973.

For the third Friday of Archives Month, the PA History Society presents from our museum collection: The White House Medical Unit's official coffee mug, circa 1980s! The mug was owned by Veterans Caucus pioneer PA David Gwinn.
