In 1958, Harvey Harris was six credits from his University of Miami degree when he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He finished the coursework while stationed in Germany, but the diploma never followed.

This month, at 90, he received it in a ceremony held at Arbor Terrace Cooper City, where he lives. Harvey is most likely the oldest student ever to graduate from the college.

'A promise is a promise,' he said.

Congratulations, Harvey. Sixty-eight years is a long time to hold onto a promise, and you kept it. 🎓
