Everything is just peachy at The Piedmont at Buckhead! 🍑

To celebrate Georgia's peach season, our community hosted an in-house Peach Festival featuring all things peaches. The Zest team served peach bellinis, our dining team prepared a spread of peach pies, cobblers, and crostinis, and Smokey's Farmland Band kept the celebration going with live music.

It took a real team effort to bring this event to life, and every department played a part in making the day such a success. Thank you to everyone who helped create such a sweet celebration, we're already looking forward to next year!

Mahjong has a new teacher at TPB! 🀄

After spending the past several months learning the game herself, our Zest Lead, Hannah, is now sharing her knowledge with members of our community who have always wanted to learn. While Mahjong is known for its strategy and intricate rules, Hannah has a knack for breaking it down step by step, making each lesson enjoyable.

We're excited to see new players building their skills, one tile at a time, and grateful to Hannah for passing along her growing expertise!

From scallion pancakes to soy sauce-braised chicken, The Piedmont Buckhead took a delicious trip through South Korean cuisine! 🇰🇷🥢

"Chef Charles" and our culinary team led a Korean "Let's Dish" demonstration featuring two varieties of kimchi, soybean stew, scallion pancakes, braised chicken, and a refreshing dessert of watermelon with Sprite. Each dish offered something new to taste, and by the final bite, the verdict was unanimous:

맛있어요! "Mashisseoyo!" In other words, “It’s delicious!”

As Zest Lead at Piedmont at Buckhead, she's spent the past year and a month getting to know the incredible individuals who call our community home. Whether she's planning holiday parties, leading a craft, or heading out on an outing, her favorite moments are seeing residents smile and hearing the stories that have shaped their lives.

Retirement might change the schedule, but it doesn't dim a lifelong passion! 🎶

TPB’s own David Kleinbaum is a professional flutist who has continued to practice and perform since moving to the community, with the support of his wife, Edna, and pianist daMon Goff. When David took the stage for a program of show tunes and classical favorites, fellow residents turned out by the dozen to hear (and cheer on!) one of their own.

It also made for a fitting unofficial gathering of the Longevity Club: good music, familiar faces, and a passion that continues to have an audience. Thanks to everyone who made this such a special afternoon!

The ring was full, the crowd was cheering, and our boxers were ready! 🥊

Kevin's boxing class welcomed friends, family, and neighbors for the third annual Boxing Showcase at The Piedmont Buckhead. It was our biggest event yet, with more than 80 people in attendance! The crowd watched a group of residents (none of whom had ever boxed before moving to our community) demonstrate the strength, agility, and confidence they've built through months of training.

This event was made possible with the support of our incredible community partners, including Engaged Senior Living, DTM Hair By Hollywood, LLC, Oglethorpe University, and Curana Health.

Kevin's class is about more than learning to box. It's a close-knit group that encourages one another every step of the way, showing how movement, friendship, and trying something new can make retirement an exciting chapter! 🤍

Layer by layer, creativity has been taking shape at TPB. 🎨

Over the past few weeks, our residents have been carefully crafting textured art pieces full of depth, color, and personality. Using paint, tissue paper, glue, and mounds of patience, each piece has gradually come to life, with every layer adding something unique to the finished work.

We can't wait to see these beautiful pieces on display. Stay tuned!
