Join us in celebrating Wanda Thorne on her retirement after 41 years of dedicated service at our Phenix City, AL location, Crowne Health Care’s Parkwood Health Care Facility! 👑

Wanda has faithfully served as a CNA, most recently as a Restorative CNA, and her commitment to caring for others has made a lasting impact on so many residents, families, and coworkers through the years. Her compassion, hard work, and dedication will always be remembered and appreciated.

🏛️ MEET THE FINAL MEMBERS OF THE INAUGURAL ANHA LEGENDS OF LONG TERM CARE HALL OF FAME CLASS

Today, we’re honored to introduce the final four members of ANHA’s inaugural Legends of Long Term Care Hall of Fame:

✨ Pam Penland
✨ Bill Hatley*
✨ Joseph William “Billy” Jones, Jr.*
✨ Patti Wallace*
*Posthumous inductees

Each of these leaders has left a lasting mark on long term care in Alabama through their leadership, service and dedication to the profession. Their contributions helped strengthen the organizations and communities they served and are part of the legacy of long term care in our state.

With these four honorees, we have now introduced all 12 members of ANHA’s inaugural Hall of Fame class.

The entire class will be formally inducted during ANHA’s 75th Anniversary Celebration & Awards Ceremony on September 24, as we recognize the individuals whose contributions have helped shape ANHA and long term care in Alabama.

Please join us in congratulating Pam and in honoring the legacies of Bill, Billy and Patti.

💗🎶 Dolly Day at Crowne Health Care’s Englewood Health Care Center! 🎶💗

We had so much fun celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton with our very own Dolly Day! Our Staff and Residents got into the spirit with big hair, plenty of pink, Dolly shirts, and lots of smiles. 🌸✨

Of course, no celebration is complete without cake, ice cream, and some of our favorite Dolly classics playing in the background! 🎂🍦🎵

It was a day full of fun, laughter, and a little extra sparkle, just the way Dolly would want it! 💕🦋

💦🚗 Car Wash Fun at Crowne Health Care of Eufaula ! 🚗💦

Our Maintenance crew did an awesome job creating a one-of-a-kind “car wash” for our Residents to roll through, and it was a HIT! 😂☀️ Between the water, bubbles, dancing, popcorn, and popsicles, this was the perfect way to cool off and have some fun on a hot day!

A special thank you to Eric for jumping in to help our Residents through the wash, and to our Activities, Social Services, Supply, and Maintenance teams for working together to make such a fun day possible. 💚

There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and maybe even a few Residents who got a little more “washed” than they expected! 🤣🫧

Atmore Nursing Center extends our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Rufus Watson.

For many years, Rufus faithfully delivered medications to our facility. He was always patient, kind, and never without a warm smile. He will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Rufus. Your kindness and dedicated service to our facility will not be forgotten.

Buy-Rite Pharmacy mourns longtime delivery driver Rufus Watson, remembered by Atmore community Rufus Watson, 65, longtime delivery driver for Greenlawn Health, Greenlawn Pharmacy/DME, and Buy-Rite, passed away July 19, 2026. Known for his kindness, punctuality, and “never met a stranger” spirit, Watson touched many in Atmore through decades of delivering DME and other items.
