Lucretia Stargell, CEO of GRMC and RCHC, was honored to represent our hospitals on a panel at the National Rural Health Association's conference last month in San Diego.
The panel's topic was 'Examining Hospital and Service Line Changes and Finance' led by national rural health researchers Casey Balio, PhD with East Tennessee State University, Brian Whitacre, PhD with Oklahoma State University, and Mark Holmes, PhD, Director of the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina.
Lucretia highlighted the success of the collaborative oncology partnership with Western Kansas Oncology Group for GRMC and RCHC. She was joined by fellow critical access hospital leader Jay Carmichael, President and CEO of Horizon Health in Paris, IL.
"It was such an honor to be invited to tell the nation about the great work our teams are doing here in rural Northwest Kansas," Lucretia said. "So many good things are happening in communities just like ours, all across the country. I am grateful to our Boards, staff, medical staff, and communities for empowering our leadership team to problem solve through collaboration as we become the medical home for the region," said CEO, Lucretia Stargell.
