Auburn Community Hospital is a not-for-profit, 99-bed acute care facility located in Auburn, NY.

Founded in 1878 by a group of community-minded individuals who recognized the growing health care needs of Auburn and Cayuga County, the original 13-bed hospital was called Auburn City Hospital, located at the current site on Lansing Street. ACH is the sole provider of acute and general hospital services in Cayuga County and the surrounding areas, located in the Finger Lakes region of Central New

York. Our mission is to provide compassionate quality care to our community. Over 95% of the physicians on staff are board certified in at least one specialty.

Yesterday, Auburn Community Hospital had the privilege of welcoming back alumni from the Auburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing for an all-class reunion, with a special celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of the final graduating class of 1976.

During their visit, the alumni toured the hospital and reflected on how healthcare has evolved over the past five decades.

Thank you to these remarkable nurses for your dedication, compassion and the lasting legacy you've left on our community. We are honored to continue building on the foundation you helped create.

Congratulations to our newest Registered Nurse Graduates of Auburn Community Hospital's Nurse Residency Program!

To mark the completion of the program, residents delivered a final presentation on a bedside electronic wound care guide, highlighting best practices for wound staging, treatment and continuity of care.

The Nurse Residency Program helps bridge the transition from nursing school to professional practice by equipping new nurses with the clinical knowledge, confidence and leadership skills needed to thrive in today's healthcare environment. Through evidence-based education, mentorship and real-world experience, participants build the foundation for a successful nursing career.

Please join us in welcoming Ahmed Souid, MD, the new Medical Director of Pediatrics at Auburn Community Hospital and full-time pediatrician with Children's Health Specialists.

A Central New York native, Dr. Souid is passionate about providing compassionate, family-centered care and helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong health. In addition to caring for patients in the office, he will also provide care for newborns at the Stardust Birthing Center.
