Testimonial Tuesday

“When I first came in, I was suffering with sharp pain in my lower back upon moving. The severity of pain was 9/10. My medical doctor gave me medication for my condition and it didn’t work. My condition was so bad that I was bent over and when I went to stand up, I could not straighten up until my back loosened up.

I was very glad that some one told me about this place and I decided to come here. I am so glad I did. Dr. Chalfant got me back to walking and I’m doing real well. I thank him for of what he has done for me. I would recommend him to other people too. Going to a Chiropractor does wonders. Chiropractic care got me back in shape and I will continue care to maintain my spine just like I do my car. You have to have patience because it takes time to get healthy.”

🥬Inflammation and how foods can help🥬

Did you know that some foods can help reduce inflammation in your body? Whether it’s reducing the production of inflammatory compounds or reducing oxidative stress in your body, what foods you have in your diet is important!

Some great examples of these foods are Avocados, berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries), leafy greens (spinach, kale), fatty fish (salmon, sardines), nuts and seeds (walnuts, almonds, chia seeds), olive oil, turmeric and ginger!

Small changes can make a big difference so make sure to add one or two of these foods to your meals this week!

Have a great week,

Tuesday’s Patient Testimonials:

For today’s testimonials, we are going to hear from Dr. Chalfant and Dr. Schlotterback.

Dr. Tyler Chalfant-
“When I was a junior in high school. We were working on a half nelson drill at wrestling practice and I could not straighten my left elbow without severe pain. I went to my uncle Cecil, who was a Chiropractor, and he adjusted it on consecutive days and by the following week, I had full range of motion with no pain and I had all the strength back in my arm.”

Dr. Isaac Schlotterback-
“When I was 13, I came into Auburn Chiropractic Clinic due to low back pain that radiated down my legs while I was playing sports. After coming in and receiving treatment, I was able to go back to playing sports without radiating pain down the legs or in my low back. Over the years, I continued receiving care as growth spurts and continuing sports year-round would cause flareups which allowed me to continue doing the things I enjoyed most!”

If you have a similar story and would like to share, feel free to ask for a form to fill out in the office! We love hearing about the improvements in your life and want others to know that they can get relief from pain!

We will be posting patient testimonies every Tuesday, so be sure to check them out!

Have a great day!

Mondays “Eating with a purpose”

The gut microbiome, now recognized as the cornerstone of overall health, contains more than 38 trillion micro-organisms outnumbering human cells in the body.

The gut microbiome has a vast community of bacteria, fungi, and other micro-organisms living. The digestive track has been clinically researched as one of the most significant factors in overall health and influences immunity, mood, inflammation, hormone imbalance, and even how the brain processes stress.

If your gut microbiome is imbalanced, normally driven by processed food, anabiotic overuse, chronic stress or insufficient dietary fiber, it can lead to chronic pain, fatigue, mood disruption, or your mental clarity can suffer. So be sure to check what you are eating because it affects all of your health!

Have a great Monday!

Hydration and the Proper Electrolytes: Monday's Health Tip

When people think about hydration, they often focus only on drinking more water, but proper hydration also depends on key minerals that help your body absorb and use that water effectively.

🧂 Sodium

Sodium is an essential mineral that helps regulate fluid balance in the body. Many people may actually benefit from getting adequate sodium intake, especially when it comes to supporting energy levels, mental clarity, and physical performance.

⚡ Magnesium

Magnesium plays a key role in hundreds of processes in the body. It supports energy production, DNA repair, muscle function, and even contributes to restful sleep and recovery.

🥑 Potassium

Potassium works closely with sodium through the sodium-potassium pump, which is essential for nerve signaling and muscle contractions. You can support healthy potassium intake through foods like meat, avocados, dark leafy greens, fruit, and potatoes.

Together, sodium, potassium, and magnesium help your body maintain balance — especially during exercise, heat exposure, or periods of higher fluid loss. You can find all these minerals in the LMNT packets in our office so be sure to give them a try next time you come in!

Wellness Wednesday: Is your head carrying more weight than it should?

Forward head posture, often cause by prolonged computer work, looking down at our phones, or poor sitting posture, can contribute to neck pain, headaches, shoulder tension, or reduce mobility. If this applies to you, try out these stretches:

Chin tucks: Gently pull your chin back, creating a “double chin” and hold for 5 second and repeat it 5 times.

Upper trapezius stretch: Tilt your head towards your shoulder until you feel a gentle stretch along your neck. Hold for 15-20 seconds per side.

Doorway chest stretch: Place your arms on each side of a doorway and step forward to open up tight chest muscles. Hold this pose for 20-25 seconds.

Happy Wellness Wednesday and be sure to try these stretch’s out!
