What You'll Do

As a Personal Support Specialist, you'll help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes by providing:

Personal care assistance
Meal preparation
Light housekeeping
Medication reminders
Transportation to appointments and errands, when needed
Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Qualifications

Current Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification preferred
Valid driver's license
Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
Ability to pass required background checks
Compassionate, reliable, and professional attitude
Travel Requirements

This position requires travel to clients' homes throughout York County, including Sanford and surrounding communities. Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Help clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for clients, promoting hygiene and safety standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Document all interactions and changes in client condition accurately in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
Previous experience in long-term care, hospice care, home care, or group home settings is preferred.
Strong ability to lift and assist clients with mobility challenges.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards client care.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Certification in direct support or related fields is advantageous but not required.
