Augusta, GA – Jo Etta Bonham, 78, loving wife of Ronald Julius “Ron” Bonham entered into rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held from Hillcrest Memorial Park on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 o’clock with Dr. Joshua Todd officiating.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:00 o’clock until time of the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bonham, daughter of the late Joseph B. Hinton and the late Etta Mae Cason Hinton, was born in Washington, GA. She lived most of her life in Augusta, GA. She retired from Westside Animal Hospital where she was a Veterinary Assistant. She was a member of Legacy Ridge Baptist Church where she also taught the Toddlers’ Sunday School Class. She also worked as a Floral Designer for many florists in the CSRA. She enjoyed caring for her plants and being outside. She lovingly cared for the elderly, was a loving mother, wife, and adoring grandmother. She was a devoted prayer warrior and passionate about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She had sweet, unwavering Blessed Hope founded in her steadfast Faith. She is now resting in His sufficient grace!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Hinton and Joe Hinton, Jr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Natalie Lefebvre, April Atkins (Kenny), Lisa Kaylor, and Rhonda Powers (Jeff); her fifteen grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren.

Augusta, GA – Clyde Elizabeth Crouch, 92, wife of the late Dr. Mickey Morgan Crouch entered into rest on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Augusta Gardens.
Mrs. Crouch, daughter of the late William Edgar Spicer Jr. and the late Audrey Jones Spicer, was born in Montgomery, Alabama, where she joined St. Marks Methodist Church and was baptized in 1947. She graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1952. She met the man who would become her beloved husband Mickey, while he was stationed in Montgomery during his service in the United States Air Force, The two were married on April 7, 1956.
Lib worked as secretary to two State 4-H Club leaders during her husband’s years in pharmacy school at the University of Georgia. After returning to Augusta, she worked in Fort Gordon's aviation section at Bush Field until the birth of her second son, Russell Morgan Crouch, who was born on the very same night that Dr. Crouch graduated from the Medical College of Georgia. Following this milestone, Lib devoted herself to her family as a homemaker, creating a home filled with love and warmth. Her compassionate nature extended far beyond the walls of her home, as she was actively involved in her church, her son's schools and her community. She was deeply committed to helping others, often putting the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, spending time outdoors, and watching Georgia football. She was a faithful member of Burns Memorial Methodist Church for more than 60 years, where she attended the Fellowship Sunday School Class, Wednesday morning Bible study, the Happy Club, and was a member of the Latane Kirkley Circle.
Above all else, Lib’s greatest loves were God, her family, and her friends. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. Her faith guided her throughout her life, and her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to family and church left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Morgan Crouch and two sisters, Edna Mae Humphrey and Virginia Carol Smith.
She is survived by her son, Stan Crouch and daughter in love, Donna Crouch; her grandchildren; April Douglas(Mike) and Ryan Crouch(Lacey); her great grandchildren; McKinzey Lynn, Brigham Morgan, Jack Stanford, Bradley Elizabeth , and John Wesley Stanford.
Pallbearers will be Stan Crouch, Ryan Crouch, Mike Douglas, Brigham Raley, Brian Dozier, and Matt McNeely.

Hephzibah, GA – James Edward West, 81, loving husband of 61 years to Jackie Kay West, entered into rest on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Jeff Jones officiating. Special music will be provided by Connie Saunders. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors.

Mr. West, son of the late William Dallas West and Annie Belle Taylor West, was born in Augusta, Georgia. He retired after more than 30 years as an ironworker with the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers, Local 709. Following his retirement, he worked alongside his son for more than 14 years at West Warning Equipment.
He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, where he also attended Sunday School and served on the building committee for the Fellowship Hall. James found great joy in the simple things in life. He loved sitting outside on his porch, enjoying the beauty of nature around him. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially building birdhouses, and was always willing to lend those hands to someone who needed help. He was the kind of man who never told anyone no when they needed him. He also took great pride in his flags, which were always special to him. Above all, Mr. West was a devoted family man. His family was the center of his life, and his greatest love and devotion were for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He treasured the time he spent with them and the memories they created together. He will be remembered not only for how deeply he loved his family, but also for his generous heart, his willingness to help others, and the quiet, steady way he was always there for those he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Troy West.
In addition to his beloved wife, Jackie, he is survived by his children, Timothy West, Tonya Malcom (Mark), Tammie Dozier, and Tara Brandon (Shawn); his grandchildren, Troy West, Ashley Beckum, Aaron Malcom (Miranda), Dylan Brandon (Heather), Lauren Moody (Justin), James Dozier, and Alexis Bloedel (Steven); and his great-grandchildren, Jon Beckum, Callie Beckum, Scarlett Bloedel, Allison Bloedel, Rilee Brandon, Greyson Moody, and Memphis Malcom, with two more great-grandchildren on the way.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at United Faith Ministries, 15096 GA Hwy 231, Davisboro, GA 31018, with Minister Sandra Yates officiating. The family will greet guests at 2:00 PM, and the service will begin at 2:30 PM.
Mrs. Braswell, daughter of the late Davis K. Wood and the late Ethel Heron Wood, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She retired from Great Clips, where she worked as a beautician. A devoted member of United Faith Ministries, she taught Sunday School and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, affectionately known as “Mimi.” She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them how to cook, and doing anything she could to make them smile. Ann had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed skydiving, white-water rafting, zip lining, swimming with dolphins, and hot-air ballooning. She loved the Smoky Mountains and often visited there with her family. Above all, Ann was a true servant of the Lord, as well as a devoted homemaker and talented baker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Paul Wood.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, David Braswell, Jr. (Emily Turner) and Daniel Braswell (Jennifer); her five grandchildren; Landon, Macie, LeeAnna, Lane, and Shep; her siblings, Donna Wood and Cheryl Arrington (Wesley).

Jeffrey Rodriguez, age 63, of Augusta, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2026. Born on December 31, 1962, Jeffrey lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for the outdoors.
Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Oscar Whiteside, Living Waters Church and Pastor Michael Weatherford, Thrive Pentecostal Holiness Church Officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He spent many dedicated years as a welder with TTX/Hamburg, where he was known for his skill, dependability, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Jeffrey found joy in the simple parts of life like golfing on quiet mornings, hunting and fishing in the places he loved, watching UFC, cheering on his favorite football teams, and spending time in nature. These were the moments that reflected who he was: steady, genuine, and happiest surrounded by the things he loved.
Above all, Jeffrey adored his three grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with them. His love for them was deep, proud, and unmistakable.
Jeffrey leaves behind his loving wife, Tammy Kincade Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Rodriguez, and is survived by his mother, Antonia Rodriguez.
He is also survived by his children: Timothy Richard Free (Ashley), Joshua Adam Rodriguez (Linda), Amanda Marie Dukes, Chad Kincade
His cherished grandchildren: Amarah Rodriguez, Layla Dukes, Carter Rodriguez
Jeffrey is also survived by his siblings: Alberto Rodriguez (Shirley), Joel Rodriguez (Renee), Lourdes Gomez, Brenda Edmonds
His nephews: Jeremy Rodriguez (Karissa), Angel Gomez, Jr., John Edmonds (Kaeli), Marvin Davis (Nadja)
His nieces: Jana O’Connor (Chad), Alyssa Thigpen (Tyler)
He also leaves behind many cousins, great nephews, and great nieces who loved him dearly.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his love for the outdoors, sports, and family reflected on the way he lived — full of heart, grounded in tradition, and always ready to share time with the people he cared about.

Mary Elizabeth (Karhoff) Gilreath passed away peacefully at her home in Augusta, Georgia, on August 2, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on September 30, 1938, in Labette, Kansas.

The Funeral Mass will be held from St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM with Father Francisco Gamboa officiating.
The Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM and a visitation will follow from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.

Mary attended St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School and later graduated from Altamont High School in Altamont, Kansas. After high school, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she earned her business degree. Shortly after graduating, Mary moved to Washington, D.C., to work as a secretary for the Department of Defense. It was there that she met the love of her life, Melvin Ross Gilreath. They were married in February 1958 and shared 59 wonderful years of marriage until Melvin’s passing in 2017.

As a proud military wife, Mary traveled the world while raising their two children, Denise Gilreath-Schultz and Dennis Gilreath. Mary later retired from Carol Fabric Co., where she worked for twenty years.

Mary was a strong, independent woman with a spirited personality. Her family and friends lovingly describe her as a little sassy lady, and wherever she went, she lit up the room. In her later years, she found great joy in caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, kayaking, and spending time at Clarks Hill Lake. Mary was a devoted Catholic and a faithful member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mary is proceeded into death by her husband, Melvin Gilreath and parents, Lawrence and Elma Jane (Davis) Karhoff.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Denise Gilreath-Schultz (Bob), and her son, Dennis Gilreath (Marcella); her three grandchildren, Curtis (Kristen Teffeteller), Kenneth, and Melissa (Jacob) Morken; and her four great-grandchildren, Logan, Laiden, Waylon, and Scarlett.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who provided compassionate care and support during Mary’s final days.

Memorial services will be held from Journey Community Church, Augusta, GA on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 3:00 o’clock with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating.
Mrs. Hoffman, daughter of the late Warren Schutter and the late Elizabeth Fulmer Schutter, was born in Valley Forest, PA. She was a retired Travel Agent for Sharon’s Travel Center. Sharon also worked with Mitsubishi & Southeastern Stages throughout her work years. She loved working with people. Her Infectious smile and sense of humor will be miss by so many that knew her well.
She is survived by her children, September Epperly (George Jenkins), Celeste Guerrero (Roman), David Johnston, (Paige), and Kris Hoffman (Jessica); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hoffman was an only child. She gained many friends that grew to love her like a sister. She also grew to love some as her own children. Her smile was infectious and strength was amazing. That is something we all will carry with us forever.

Martinez, GA – Brenda Jennings Johnson, 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Doctors Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born on September 8, 1942, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Willie Robert Goings and the late Grace Pauline Taylor Goings. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, aunt, and a dear friend to many.
A faithful soldier in The Salvation Army, Brenda dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her church family. It was there that she met the love of her life, the late Freddy J. Johnson. Together they were blessed with one son, Michael S. Johnson.
Throughout the years, Brenda faithfully served in many ministries, including the church band, the Songsters, as a Sunbeam and Girl Guard leader, and as a director of numerous children’s plays alongside her sister, Grace. Her servant’s heart and love for children left a lasting impact on generations.
Brenda was one of many brothers and sisters and treasured the close bond she shared with her sister, Grace. The two were inseparable, whether singing together at church or enjoying Saturday morning shopping trips to the mall. Although Brenda had one son of her own, she lovingly embraced her nieces, nephews, and their children as if they were her own. She found great joy in spoiling them and making each one feel deeply loved.
Brenda is survived by her son, Michael S. Johnson; her beloved sister, Grace (Goings) Hammock; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Freddy J. Johnson; her parents, Willie Robert and Grace Pauline Goings; and her siblings, Mary, Clifford “Bubba,” Charles, Martha, Lottie, Robert “Wimpy,” and Freddie “Pete.”
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at The Kroc Center, Augusta, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:30 p.m., officiated by Captain Andre Pereira.

Mr. Williford, son of the late Glenn Williford and Margaret Elizabeth Dunn Williford, was born in Augusta, GA. He was the Pastor of Believers Fellowship Church in Augusta, GA for over 20 years, Chris was an avid Georgia Bulldawg and Braves Fan.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Brandon Williford (Hannah) and Carleigh Williford; his grandchildren, Oakland Williford and Cody Williford; his mother-in-law Cristal “Memaw” Hunnicutt, his brother, Tony Williford (Amy); his nieces and nephews and several cousins.
