Patricia Ethel Penvose passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 70. Patricia was born on August 12, 1955, in Fort Gordon, Georgia.
She was the beloved child of Joseph L. Penvose and Margaret L. Penvose. Patricia graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1973. Outside of work, she loved bowling and enjoyed being outgoing. She was heavenly involved in church. She will be deeply missed for her kind spirit and generosity.
She is survived by her only child, Joseph D. Penvose; her siblings, Jack Penvose (Judy), Joanna Brown (Wil), Brenda Zepp (Zepp); her grandkids, Brian Lee Miller Penvose (Carson), Autumn Penvose Allen (Makell); her great grandkids, Braxton Buchanan, Briar Penvose, and Beckham Penvose; her nieces and nephews, Michelle Gabbard (Chris), Brian Penvose (Toni), Keith Penvose (Sandi), Jeremy Harden, Eric Weathersbee, Shawn Weathersbee (Tanner); her great nephews and nieces, Bailey Howard, EJ Weathersbee, Adalynn Weathersbee, Cooper Weathersbee, and Hudson Weathersbee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph L. and Margaret L. Penvose; her sister, Deborah Harden; her nephew, Johnny Donald Johnson Jr (John Boy).
A Celebration of Life service will be held from the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 3 o’clock with Pastor Mark A. Downs officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to The Donna Foundation in Patricia’s Memory.

Modoc, SC – Dianne Elizabeth Prince, 73, loving wife of Thomas “Tom” Prince of 50 plus years, entered into rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Emory University Hospital.
Mrs. Prince, daughter of the late Claude Ray, late stepfather Pete Dangler, and the late Kate Lois Charles Dangler, was born in Spartanburg, SC. She was a devoted member of her church, Modoc Baptist, a woman of strong faith. She faithfully attended adult Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible study, and she actively participated in Vacation Bible School, where she enjoyed sharing her love of Christ with others. She retired from USPS as the Postmistress of Modoc Post Office after 27 years of dedicated service, during which she was known for her commitment, kindness, and friendly spirit. Following her retirement, she continued serving her community by working with children as a substitute teacher at Fox Creek High School and as a beloved “Classroom Nana” at Mossy Creek Elementary School. She cherished the opportunity to encourage and support the students whose lives she touched. She was known for her active and caring nature; she found joy in helping others, spending time with family and friends, and living out her faith through service to her church and community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Allen Prince.
Mrs. Prince is survived by her loving husband Thomas “Tom” Prince; her two sons, Jimmie Prince (Kathy), Jason Prince (Brandy); her grandchildren; Kai, Illisa, Logan, Briana, Gibson (Lainey), Alex, Ireland; great grandchildren; Lincoln, Grayson, Zora; her nephews; Mike Nichols (Laura), David Lee Johnson III (Courtney), David Clem Jr, her nieces; Corrine Matthai (John), Jenny, Tina (Bill), Cadace, Wendy, and numerous other great nieces and nephews.

Waynesboro, GA – David William Gillenwater, 71, caring husband of the late Darcy Noaker entered into rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at home surrounded in love.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Chance & Hydrick funeral home.
Mr. Gillenwater, son of the late William Allen Gillenwater and the late Doris Marie Leach Gillenwater, was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He worked as a truck driver for 30 years and was known for his free spirit and generous heart. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and bird watching. One of his favorite pastimes was riding dirt roads with his beloved dog, Sadie, by his side. A talented handyman, David was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed hosting cookouts and bringing family and friends together, creating memories filled with laughter and fellowship. His humor and giving nature touched many lives, and will be remembered for his warmth, friendship, and willingness to help others. David was of the Baptist faith and found strength and comfort in his beliefs throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Catina Overton; great grandson, Oliver Jase White; his sister, Diana L. Rook.
Mr. Gillenwater is survived by his son, Michael Adams; his daughters, Hollie White, Jessica Gillenwater, Tamber Gillenwater, Gloria Hunsaker; his stepson, Dakota Bolley; his stepdaughter, Brooke Noaker; his sisters, Kathleen Whittington, Georgina Singh, Vivian Silas; multiple grand and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Augusta, GA – Joyce May Montgomery, 81, loving wife of the late Zennis Albert Montgomery Jr., peacefully entered into rest on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Piedmont of Augusta.
Born in Augusta, GA, Mrs. Montgomery was the daughter of the late James Robert May and Mary Alice Johnson May. She retired as an administrative assistant from Plant Vogtle and was a member of Beran Baptist Church, where she actively participated in AWANA.
Joyce was known for her kind heart, servant spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. Cherished as “Maw Maw” by her grandchildren, she treasured every moment spent with family and close friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Angie Johnson (Martin) and Lori Dye (Randy); her brother, James “Buddy” May (Debby); her sister, Janice Brigham (Charlie); her four grandchildren, Austin Osment (Alexis), Bryce Johnson (Jackie), Charles Woody (Amber), and Wesley Dye; as well as her great-grandchildren, Tucker Woody, Samuel Woody, Elaine “Ellie” Osment, Eli Osment, Emsley “E.J.” Osment, and Evelyn Joy “Evie Jo” Osment. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband and parents, along with her siblings, Robert Gerry May and Judy May Hall.

Augusta, GA – Anna Mae Collins, 97, loving wife of the late Joseph Canty Collins, entered into rest on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Pruitt Health.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First Friendship Church, with Reverend Robert Cook, Reverend Mark Taylor, and Pastor Andy Collins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Collins, daughter of the late Maggie Pearl Raborn Skinner and the late Willie Burt Skinner, Sr., was born in Augusta, GA. She retired from Gracewood State School Hospital, where she served faithfully as a Central Supply Clerk. A devoted member of First Friendship Church, she also enjoyed fellowship and friendship through the Red Hat Society, Good Sam’s Club, and the Masonic Widow’s Group.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Collins.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Collins (Kathy); her grandchildren, Dwayne Collins (Janet), John Collins (Amanda), Andy Collins (Mellissa), and Amanda Stenger (Danny); her great grandchildren, Leah Waldrop (Nick), Emily Gresham (Colten), Caroline Collins, Andrew Collins, Anna Katherine Stenger, Caleb Collins, Katie Collins, and Charlie Collins; and her great great grandchild, Wells Waldrop.
