Shepeard Community Blood Center Shepeard partners with volunteer donors to provide lifesaving blood products to 30+ local hospitals and EMS agencies across Georgia and South Carolina.

Shepeard, a nationally known name in the blood banking industry and chairman of the Department of Medical Technology at the Medical College of Georgia, had a vision for the area - to create a community blood bank that pours life blood into the patients at our local hospitals. Today, Shepeard, partners with local hospitals across the two state area by providing blood and blood products to their patients in need.

Sophie was just six months old when she was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a rare pediatric liver cancer. Throughout chemotherapy and lifesaving surgery, she relied on generous blood and platelet donors to help her body fight, heal, and keep going. Today, Sophie's treatment is complete, but she is still under cautious care. Every donor who volunteers to give blood is a local hero. Heroes like you make success stories like Sophie's possible.

Because of cancer, Sophie's family know firsthand how lifesaving blood and platelet donations can be. Donate to help these children have a healthier tomorrow!
