One of the most important things I’ve learned as a physician is that you do not have to know every answer immediately to be a good doctor. Today a patient asked me a question I didn’t know off the top of my head. So, I told her exactly that. Then I promised I’d look it up, review the evidence, and get back to her. Medicine is constantly evolving, and patients deserve honesty more than ego. I’ll always choose transparency, curiosity, and evidence-based care over pretending to know it all. 🤍
