🦎✨ Special Event Spotlight! ✨🐍

This week, we had the incredible opportunity to welcome Leaping Lizards Adventure for an amazing reptile presentation! 🦎🐍

🕷️Everyone was engaged as they discovered fun facts about each animal, learned about their habitats and behaviors, and had the chance to see these incredible creatures up close. Many of our clients even had the opportunity to touch and hold some of the animals, making the experience even more exciting and memorable!

One of the highlights was meeting Oscar, one of the friendly snakes, and Cupid, a stunning snake with a heart-shaped marking on his head, and a beautiful handsome leopard lizard. ❤️🦎

Experiences like these encourage curiosity, learning, confidence, and sensory exploration while giving our clients the opportunity to safely interact with and appreciate wildlife in a fun, hands-on environment. 🤗

We are so grateful to Leaping Lizards Adventure for providing such an educational, interactive, and unforgettable experience. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us and making this such a special day for everyone! ❤️🦎

Happy Friday! ☀️😊🛒🥗🏊🌸🎨🦕🔬🌳❤️
We hope everyone has stayed cool in this summer weather ☀️

🏠 In-Center Activities
This week, our clients worked together to make a fresh and delicious salad! 🥗 Cooking activities help promote independence, teamwork, healthy eating habits, and following directions while having fun together. We also got creative by building dinosaur crafts! 🦖🖍️ Craft projects encourage imagination, strengthen fine motor skills, improve hand-eye coordination, and allow everyone to express their creativity.

🚐 Community Outings & Adventures
Our group had an exciting week exploring the community! We visited IKEA 🛒 and Walmart 🛍️, where clients practiced community participation, decision-making, and social skills while exploring the stores. We also enjoyed visiting the Denver Art Museum 🎨, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science 🔬🦕, and the Denver Botanic Gardens 🌸. These outings gave our clients opportunities to explore art, discover fascinating exhibits, learn something new, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
Everyone also had a wonderful time visiting Plaza Colorado, Centennial Center Park 🌳, and Sebs, where clients stayed active, socialized with friends, and enjoyed engaging recreational activities together.

With the summer heat in full swing, we cooled off by going swimming! 🏊💦 It was the perfect way to stay active while having fun and beating the heat. ☀️

✨ We also had one very special event this week that we'll be sharing in our next post, so stay tuned—you won't want to miss it!

Happy Friday! ☀️😊🍿🎟️🦕🛍️🎯🖍️

This week, we visited IKEA, where our clients practiced important community and social skills while exploring the store. Back at the center, we continued working on strength-building 💪🏼 activities to improve mobility, coordination, and independence.

We also enjoyed some time at the park. making the most of the warm summer weather with fresh air, exercise, and lots of smiles. 😊☀️
Our clients spent time coloring this week as well. 🖍️Coloring is a fun activity that helps improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, and creativity while providing a relaxing and calming experience.✨

We also had a great visit to the Science Museum! 🦕Everyone enjoyed exploring the interactive exhibits and learning something new through hands-on activities!

We ended the week with our Client Appreciation Day🎪, and it was the perfect way to celebrate the amazing people who make our center so special. We hosted a carnival filled with popcorn 🍿, cotton candy 🍭, snow cones 🍧, cake 🎂, fun games, and special goodie bags 🎁 for each client. It was a sweet day full of laughter, smiles, and appreciation for the wonderful individuals we are so lucky to spend our days with.
