Super Silas: The Boy Baby Wonder

Super Silas: The Boy Baby Wonder Hello! My name is Silas. This is my adventure.

05/19/2026

Good morning, family and friends.

I have been pretty quiet about this, but a couple of months ago, our fears became a reality and we found out Silas will need a fourth major surgery in the future. Just recently, we found out we don't really get to decide when, and he will have to do it sooner rather than later.

We also found out we'll have to travel to Boston this time.

So, we are reaching out to our community for support once more because now we know exactly what kind of financial obstacle another major surgery will be, and we are very afraid. The pain I have in my heart for my son along with our stress, fears, and worries has been borderline crippling as we've been locking down dates and bringing our worst nightmare into fruition. I honestly can't believe we have to do it again.

Just creating this fundraiser has made me feel like there's no going back, even though there never was at this point.

We are very aware that times are hard on pretty much everyone right now, so if all you can do is share our story, we will appreciate that very much.

Thank you to everyone who helped us get our son what he needed for his previous surgery and thank you again to anyone able to support us this round.

We lost one of our encephalocele warriors very suddenly and we are trying to help her mother get all the support she can to give her baby the funeral she deserves. Even just a share could help.

When we found out about Silas' condition, we joined a very small group of other parents who had been given the same rare diagnosis for their children. Among them was Isabel and her mother Marilyn. We have watched Isabel's journey for over 3 years now and we are just looking to return support to one of the families who supported us so much during some of the scariest days of our lives. Rest in peace, Isabel. 🩵
