Happenings at the Park🌱

Ekar Farm has officially taken root at Shalom Park, growing a vibrant community garden right here on our grounds. Rooted in Jewish values, Ekar Farm unites the Denver community through sustainable agriculture, environmental education, and a commitment to growing fresh produce for those in need. Garlic, peas, potatoes, cabbages, tomatoes, and more are already sprouting—bringing new life and nourishment to our shared space.

It’s that time of year again! Our Shalom Park Elders and Care Partners are back in the garden, planting basil, thyme, parsley, marigolds, and more.

Nothing beats fresh air, good company, and getting our hands a little dirty. 🌱

We wish you a meaningful Memorial Day.

Ed Contreras and the Swallow Hills Ukulele and Percussion Ensemble joined us this past Saturday for a round of lively music and cheer, filling the room with upbeat rhythms, bright melodies, and joyful vibes.
Music has a way of bringing us together, and here at Shalom Park, we are always excited to share in traditions like these.

A simple meal can become something extraordinary. ❤️
At Shalom Park, Care Partners, Families, and Elders come together to build connections that feel like home. Care Partner Charley and his wife Sarah share a meal every other month with Elders Marc and Marsey—laughing, storytelling, and creating bonds that last a lifetime.
Because it’s never just about the meal—it’s about belonging.
