Tonight, type 1 diabetes will be represented on baseball’s biggest stage.

Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Garrett Mitchell lives with T1D — a powerful reminder that type 1 diabetes doesn’t stop greatness.

When young athletes with T1D see someone like Garrett competing at the highest level, they see what’s possible for their own dreams. Type 1 takes constant work, but it doesn’t have to mean sitting on the sidelines.

No matter what happens on the field, this is a win for the type 1 community. 💙⚾

💙 Advocate Spotlight: Meet Kate! 💙
Meet Kate! 🌟 At 8 years old, she loves soccer, gymnastics, swimming, singing, and playing piano! ⚽️🤸‍♀️🏊‍♀️🎶
With a mom who lives with type 1 diabetes (T1D), Kate already has a personal connection to life with T1D. After testing positive for multiple T1D antibodies, Kate is at increased risk of developing T1D in the future. As she looks ahead, she hopes to find comfort, learn more about T1D, and build friendships with others who understand her journey. 💙
We’re so excited to have Kate in our advocate community and can’t wait to see the connections she makes along the way! Help us show Kate some love in the comments! 💙✨
