Hip or lumbar surgery within a year after a sacroiliac joint fusion: EVERYONE WITH SIJD NEEDS A HIP (BALL AND SOCKET JOINT) EVALUATION. MANY SIJ FUSION DOCTORS ARE NOT SKILLED IN EVALUATING THE HIP JOINT, AND IT IS NOT AN EXPLICIT PART OF THE SIJ SURGERY EVALUATION PROTOCOL, UNLESS THINGS HAVE CHANGED RECENTLY. If you had a sij fusion that did not help and within a year you needed lumbar or hip surgery, ask the surgeon and manufacturer to give you a big chunk of $$$$$. There is no excuse for egregious greed and incompetence.

Posture therapy by the Hesch Method in two ten-minute visits.
Did treat his fascia, joints, muscles, nervous system, movement, understanding of how to easily maintain this by doing specific self-care (two stretches with a fulcrum, 30x specific strengthening, 5 minutes weekly).

I will post a video in the comments, which includes his mother's comments. Would you like a 30-minute visit to evaluate and treat your posture? If you are over 40, it could be very beneficial to evaluate hip extension and internal rotation, as we often lose some range, which can contribute to wear and tear and ultimate hip replacement.

Interested? Discounted fee 75.00. Send a text to 7-0-2-561-0143 (Nevada area code). Please contact me soon; the offer will expire on July 20th.

Low-Load Long-Duration Viscoelastic Creep Neuro-Articular Mobilization
Abstract
A Kaltenborn manual therapy technique incorporates traction, or sustained translatory joint mobilization, in addition to a separate method of joint oscillation. After taking up the slack in a joint, the force is applied for 7-30 seconds. There is scant literature on longer durations, although one study compared 30-, 60-, and 120-second holds against a motion barrier (direct technique) and concluded that longer treatment durations conferred greater improvements. A search for similar articles (www.pubmed.gov) using the link within that article did not reveal any other studies utilizing 120 seconds for typical outpatient orthopedic diagnoses who may benefit from joint mobilization, except for joint contracture. Studies on Strain-Counterstrain Technique, an indirect technique in which a joint is held in the freely mobile direction, support the proposal that 90 seconds is an optimal timeframe for neuroarticular normalization. This presenter has noted normalization of hip rotation after use of a five-minute fulcrum encompassing all external rotator muscles and tendons, with the benefit lasting longer than three months. Very dense joints with complex, abundant connective tissue, such as the symphysis p***s, the sacroiliac joint, and the subtalar joint, respond similarly to forces applied for up to 5 minutes. Simple methods, such as using a foam fulcrum with body weight, can be replicated by patients for self-treatment and to foster independence. Normalization of inhibited muscle strength is readily achieved and appears to influence the various periarticular mechanoreceptors. The concept of low-load, long-duration joint mobilization sustained for 2-5 minutes is a ripe area for future research to ascertain reliability, validity, and utility

My 3D Pain Drawing
I hope to do a fund raising sometime, hopefully sooner than later, and convert it to a digital tool. Endometriosis can take many years from symptoms to diagnosis. I think this might be helpful for early detection.
3D Pain Drawing

I’ve been using your 3D drawing for quite some time - I let my dyspareunia patients draw their symptoms on it & later I fill in my palpation findings - very helpful!

In this day of health care reform and shorter times spent with patients, there is a need for a tool that readily communicates the full extent of the patient’s symptoms to the doctor or health care practitioner. The traditional pain drawing is a 2-dimensional drawing. However, some types of pain si...

I am digging into the origin of the term "Biotensegrity" and trying to locate Stephen M Levin's (deceased) curriculum vitae. Anyone able to locate it? Thank you. Per Claude AI, it is not in the public domain. He passed away in 2012 the same year a MD researcher with same name and same middle initial passed away! So there are other publications by Stephen M Levine which are not on topic. Odd that a professional would not ist his CV. I believe that all professionals should upload their CV in the public domain. What was his clinical practice like, did he really perfom orthopedic surgery for 50-years? I doubt it. Did he do prolotherapy? I last heard him lecture in 1992, 1995 at the World congress on LBP and t**s relation to the sacroililiac. I presented a paper, and taught a course at both cpngresses, and published a chapter in the first congress book. The first book per my opinion is the best as so much novel research had emerged. It can be had for cheap:

The human pelvis has recently become a focus for a considerable amount of new research which is relevant to manual therapy practice. In particular, movement within the pelvis is now being recognised and studied in relation to its role in maintaining stability in the vertebral column and subsequent ....
