🤰 Did you know low-dose aspirin may help lower the risk of preeclampsia for some pregnant women?

In this video, Dr. Seth J. Herbst, an OB-GYN with HCA Healthcare, explains what preeclampsia is, who may benefit from low-dose aspirin and why talking with your doctor about your personal risk is an important part of prenatal care.

According to March of Dimes, preeclampsia affects 1 in 25 pregnancies, and many people may not know they’re at risk. Every pregnancy is different, so talk with your doctor about your risk and whether low-dose aspirin may be appropriate for you.

Through our partnership with March of Dimes, our broader HCA Healthcare network is helping raise awareness about preeclampsia, the importance of risk screening and conversations that can support healthier pregnancies.

Sepsis can happen when the body has an extreme response to an infection. It can become life-threatening quickly, so knowing the warning signs matters.

In this video, Dr. Sydney Hester, an infectious disease doctor with our broader HCA Healthcare network, shares what to watch for and when to get emergency care.

At HCA Healthcare, our Sepsis Prediction and Optimization of Therapy (SPOT) system continuously monitors vital signs, lab results, nursing reports and other data to detect often subtle changes in a patient's condition and alert clinicians to signs of sepsis so they can take appropriate action.

If you or someone you love may be experiencing signs of sepsis, don't wait. Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room: https://bit.ly/4hLqrrX.

If you're expecting a baby, congratulations! 🤰During this exciting journey, it helps to know about conditions that could affect your health, including placenta accreta spectrum, or PAS. This condition happens when the placenta attaches too deeply into the wall of the uterus, which can lead to serious bleeding during delivery.

Watch as Dr. Robert Cohen, an OB-GYN and medical director of the Placenta Accreta Program for our broader HCA Healthcare network, breaks down what PAS is, who may be at higher risk and why early diagnosis and specialized care matter.

Across HCA Healthcare, caregivers deliver more than 200,000 babies each year, generating insights that help improve outcomes for moms and babies.

It’s a baby boom at HCA HealthONE Aurora!

Nine nurses from our Labor and Delivery and Mom-Baby units are expecting babies in 2026, with due dates spanning June through December. Three babies have already arrived, and six more are expected in the months ahead.

These colleagues spend each day helping families experience some of life’s most meaningful moments. This year, they are marking meaningful milestones of their own.

Recently, colleagues gathered for a special team baby shower filled with food, fun and gifts. It was a joyful opportunity to celebrate this exciting season and show appreciation for the caregivers who care for so many others.

Congratulations to everyone being celebrated. Thank you for the compassion and care you bring to our patients and community every day. We look forward to welcoming the newest little ones into the HCA HealthONE family!
