Jane A. Spangler, 81, of Woodridge, formerly of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Oak Trace Health Center in Downers Grove with her devoted brother William at her side. She was born December 1, 1944, in Aurora, Illinois.
Jane graduated from St. Mary Grade School and K D Waldo Middle School. She worked at Jennings Terrace in Aurora for twenty-five years. She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin and friend, she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by brother, William Spangler; two cousins, Richard Weber, and Thomas (Deb) Weber; two grand cousins, Byron (Simone) Weber, and Ryan (Laura) Weber.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice (Franck) Spangler; her father, LeRoy Spangler; her aunt, Lenora Weber; her uncle, Albert Franck; several other aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at DALEIDEN MORTUARY, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500.

Thomas Edward Banks, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on August 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born in Aurora, Illinois, on January 19, 1949, to Thomas and Mary (Pereni) Banks. He grew up in Aurora and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at Loyola University in Chicago. Thomas built a fulfilling career as an accountant. He began at Arthur Anderson, then worked at GTE/Verizon, Henry Pratt in Aurora, Dr. Scholls, and ultimately retired from V***r Bus International.

Above all, Tom cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Debra (Rust) Banks. He enjoyed his family above all, playing cards, attending school sporting events for two generations of family, traveling to visit friends & family. His favorite TV shows and movies included Jeopardy, Paladin, Star Trek (live long and prosper), Top Gun and Mission Impossible. He loved listening to the music of 7th Heaven at outdoor concerts. His favorite artist was Steve Winwood, with his favorite songs to include “Higher Love” and “Back in the Highlife Again”.

Neal Richard Wenckus, of Oswego, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on August 18, 2026, at the age of 54.

Neal The Steel was born in Aurora, Illinois, on June 28, 1972, to Richard N. Wenckus and Elizabeth J. (Wittry) Arterburn. Neal was a man who could make people laugh, often with a quick joke, a funny comment, or simply his own unique way of looking at life. He had a personality that could light up a room, and those who knew him will remember not only his sense of humor, but the smiles and laughter he brought to the people around him.

He graduated from Bradley University, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and later earned his MBA from Aurora University. Neal worked as a Realtor in the Aurora area with Keller Williams, where his nickname, fittingly, was “Neal-Estate.” His sense of humor followed him wherever he went, and he had a way of making even ordinary moments memorable.

He loved playing pool and was a member of both APA and BCA, where he played at a skill level of 6. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his three beloved cats. Neal was a member of the 3rd Ward Club, as well as the Turners Club and Rudy’s Place, where he enjoyed the friendships and connections that became an important part of his life.

Joel Brian Worland passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2026, at his home.

Joel was born on October 24, 1959, in Aurora, Illinois, to James G. and Joyce M. (Chally) Worland. He graduated from East High School in Aurora and went on to work for Nicor for many years, a job he truly enjoyed.

Joel had a love for life and for the people around him. He especially enjoyed bowling and was a proud member of the Latin Bowling Team. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino, watching all types of sports, and cheering everyone on. He loved playing co****le and could always be counted on to join in the fun.

Above all else, Joel loved his family. He had a way of getting along with everyone and was known for his friendly nature, warm heart, and ability to make people feel welcome. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joel is survived by his siblings, Jay Worland; Jim (Georgia) Worland; Julie Worland; Valerie (Andres) Velazquez; Joyce (Carlos) Martinez; sister-in-law, Bonnie Worland; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Joyce M. Worland; and his brother, Jeff Worland.

Thomas A. Neu, 83, a long-time resident of Aurora, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at his home at Covenant Living at the Holmstad. He was born February 14, 1943, in Aurora, Illinois.
Tom was a devoted member of St. Rita of Cascia Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the choir. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
Tom was a proud graduate of Marmion Military Academy and Aurora College. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. He went on to build a career in computer programming, working for All Steel and later Sol Corp. He also enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others as an instructor, teaching night classes at Waubonsee Community College.
Tom was a member of the Fox Valley Corvette Club and the Moose Club. He enjoyed many things in life, including playing poker and golf, playing the accordion, and sharing breakfast at Mother’s with his best friend and brother-in-law, Dave.
Those who knew Tom will remember his upbeat spirit, kind smile, and willingness to offer advice and encouragement to those he loved. He especially enjoyed giving life advice to his daughters and grandchildren, always wanting to share the wisdom he had gained throughout his life.

Bonita “Bonnie” R. Ederati, 91, of Oswego, Illinois, peacefully passed away at her home on August 4th, 2026. She was welcomed into eternal peace, where she was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Richard, who lovingly took her hand once again.

Bonnie was born on November 18, 1934, in Morris, Illinois, to Raymond E. and Ruth L. (Warning) Baker. She married the love of her life, Richard M. Ederati and together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their home was built on love, faith, and devotion as they raised their family with kindness, compassion and unwavering support.

A faithful member of Church of the Good Shepherd in Oswego, Illinois, Bonnie lived a life centered on service to others. She worked as a clerk at Caterpillar in Aurora while also dedicating herself to raising her children. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she generously gave her time as a hospice support volunteer and served those in need through her work with Hesed House. She also enjoyed being in the Red Hats with her good friend Jan Olson. Her caring heart, gentle spirit, and selfless nature touched the lives of many.

Robert J. Miller, 85, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born on May 2, 1941, in Aurora, Illinois.
Bob was a longtime, devoted member of St. Rita of Cascia Church. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and Marmion Military Academy Class of 1959. He was an active member of the Phoenix Club and Aurora Turners Club. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Bob never left Pigeon Hill. At the age of fifteen, he began working at the High Street Pharmacy, located at 666 High Street, just a short walk from his home at 655 High Street. He was proud of his work from the very beginning and later became the owner of the pharmacy. Through his steady dedication, he helped create a true sense of community. As time went on, Bob was fortunate enough to purchase the homes surrounding the pharmacy. He became a loving landlord and a friend to many of his tenants.
Bob’s legacy of love, strength, selfless giving, and endless devotion to his faith, family, and friends will live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. To know Bob was to love him. His caring ways and kindness freed others to love one another. He lived his Christian life to the fullest.

Susan (Fisher) Voigt was called home on July 24th of 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Susan will be remembered as a daughter of Christ, loving wife of 60 years to Tom and devoted mother to her four children Karl, Eric (Katrin), Colin (Pebbles), Alex (Omar); grandchildren, Nicholas (Cecilia), Theresa (Robert), Deagan, Zureen, Summer and Vivienne, and great-grandchildren, Annaliese, Henry, Joseph, Theodore, and Milena. Susan will be remembered for her dignity, selflessness, and tenacity, having gone back to college to earn her degree from Aurora University and starting her career after raising four children. She was curious to learn, had an understated sense of humor, and prepared exquisite home cooked meals.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph E. and Lorna S. Fisher and her brother, Ralph “Stewart” Fisher.

Interment will take place in Susan’s home state of Pennsylvania, with a memorial service in Aurora on Saturday, August 8, at 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church in Aurora, IL. In lieu of flowers, at Susan’s request, the Susan F. K. Voigt Memorial Fund has been established at the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. The fund will support non-traditional students to achieve their educational goals.
