Hydration week: Small sips, Big results
Hello!
What an amazing first week of July with our Summer Reset. This week we focused on one of the simplest yet most impactful habits for better health-HYDRATION. Water is involved in nearly every function in your body. It helps regulate body temperature, supports digestion, keeps your joints lubricated, delivers nutrients to your cells, and can even improve your energy, focus, and mood. Sometimes making one small change-like drinking water-can make a bigger difference than you realize.
Why hydration matters...even mild dehydration can contribute to:
*Fatigue
*Brain fog
*Headaches
*Muscle cramps
*Decreased physical performance
How much water should you drink? A good general goal is to drink half your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of water each day.
For example:
*120 lbs = 60 oz
*150 lbs = 75 oz
*180 lbs = 90 oz
If you are exercising, spending time outside in the Colorado heat, or sweating more than usual, you'll likely need additional fluids.
Infused water recipes
One of my favorite ways to make hydration more enjoyable is by adding fresh fruits and herbs.
Here are the combinations we I shared this week:
Lemon and Mint
*Refreshing
*Supports healthy digestion
*Vitamin C boost
*Freshens breath
Strawberry and Basil
*Rich in antioxidants
*High in Vitamin C
*Naturally sweet flavor
Cucumber and Lime
*Cooling and refreshing
*Extra hydration
*Great after spending time outside
Blueberry and Lemon
*Antioxidant-rich
*Bright citrus flavor
Watermelon and Mint (one of my favorites)
*Naturally hydrating
*Contains electrolytes
*Perfect for hot summer days
Orange and Rosemary
*Vitamin C
*Refreshing herbal flavor
*Great summer combination
Pro tip: Let your infused water sit in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight to develop the best flavor.
What about Electrolytes?
Most of the time, water is exactly what your body needs. However, electrolytes can be especially helpful if you're:
*Exercising for an extended period
*Working outdoors
*Sweating heavily
*Recovering from illness
*Spending long hours in the summer heat
One of my favorite options is Zyia Activate because it provides electrolytes without the high sugar content found in many sports drinks. You can check it out here: new.myzyia.com/DRD/en_US/zyia-activate-30-ss-packets-bagged.html It has become one of my go-to products for workouts, hot summer days, hiking, and long days in the office when I want to stay hydrated and energized.
My Challenge for YOU
Don't stop drinking water just because hydration week is over.
Keep:
*Carrying your water bottle
*Trying infused water recipes
*Drinking extra fluids during hot weather
*Using electrolytes when appropriate
*Building the healthy habits you've started
Remember...
Small habits really do create big results.

On Friday, July 24th we will have our next relaxing Sound Bath session at 7pm.
Sound Bath Sessions are held once a month at our studio.
Each session is $25 each.
Make sure to bring a pillow, a blanket, and if you have one, a mat.
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience designed to help your body and mind unwind. As you lie or sit comfortably, you’ll be immersed in soothing sounds and vibrations from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gentle tones.
The waves of sound help calm the nervous system, release tension, and encourage deep rest—no movement or prior meditation experience required. Simply show up, breathe, and allow yourself to reset.
Perfect for stress relief, improved sleep, emotional balance, and overall wellness!
