The Deep Waters Experience
3-Day Trauma Healing Workshop

This workshop goes beneath the surface—mind, body, heart, and spirit. Over three immersive days, you’ll go from confronting the shadow to reclaiming an emotionally authentic life.

The work is fully experiential. Through psychodrama, bioenergetics, visualizations, and Jungian and 12-step wisdom, you’ll release old trauma, reconnect with your inner child, and start living your most genuine life.

It’s challenging, but you won’t be on your own. The workshop was developed by Dr. Bob Beare, PhD, LPC-S, and is co-facilitated by other skilled facilitators and a supportive group who will walk beside you every step of the way.

If you’re ready for real change, Deep Waters is waiting.

How much does it cost? It’s by donation (pay as you are able)

Who is this for? Anyone and everyone on the recovery and healing path (including therapists and other helping professionals).

Where?: San Marcos, TX

When?: Friday August 7th through Sunday August 9th, 2026

Unresolved trauma is running the world. We see it in leadership, in our schools, in our churches, and in our relationships. It impacts how effective we are at work and how present we are with our loved ones. It is a significant factor in addiction as well.

The new year often comes with a lot of pressure. Pressure to make resolutions, feel hopeful, and embrace fresh starts and restoration. I love the idea of all of that and I hold space for it. At the same time, 2025 was a difficult year for many of us, and it is okay to acknowledge that.

As we step into 2026, I am also hoping for change. I want to gently remind everyone that uncertainty often brings fear, anxiety, and even depression. That is a very human response. There are ways to cope, even when life feels heavy. Getting outside for a walk 🌿 feeling the sun on your face ☀️ nourishing your body 🥗 calling a friend 📞 or simply pausing to breathe.

These may seem like small or basic things, but they matter deeply when life feels overwhelming.

As we begin this new year, my hope is that we prioritize both our mental and physical health and remember the little things we can be grateful for. Clean water, food to eat, people who care about us, our health, our minds, and our ability to move and function. These are meaningful gifts we can easily lose sight of during difficult seasons.

Wishing everyone a new year filled with gentleness, perspective, and steady healing 💛
Happy New Year ✨

Happy holidays, everyone! They really are among us. Just a little reminder: please don’t put too much pressure on yourself right now. Everyone is doing their best, even if it doesn’t always feel like it. There’s no need to rush. There’s no need to stress. This season is for joy, for small moments, for taking care of yourself.

The holidays aren’t joyful for everyone.
For many, this season can bring loneliness, grief, or the quiet ache of spending another Christmas alone or mourning the family, relationships, or life you hoped to have 🎄🤍

If the holidays feel heavy, you don’t have to carry that weight by yourself. You deserve a space where your feelings are met with compassion, not judgment. I offer a warm, supportive place to talk through whatever this season is bringing up for you. 🌿✨

I am currently accepting new clients, have immediate telehealth availability, and offer a free 15-minute consultation. Support is here when you’re ready 🤍🕯️

Let’s talk about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Are you feeling it yet? I know I am as this one hits me every year.

With the days getting shorter, the weather colder, and, here in Texas, even a little rain and clouds, it’s no wonder so many of us feel off. Sluggish, low mood, “not quite myself”…Sound familiar? You’re not alone, and you’re not going crazy. This is a common seasonal shift.

Shorter days and holiday stress can hit hard, but this is seasonal and manageable. You’re not losing it; you’re human.

The emotional toll of the Hill Country floods is deep and lasting.

As the death toll rises and search efforts continue, many Texans are struggling to process the grief, shock, and helplessness this tragedy brings.

Our own Gillian Rodriguez, a TCA member and counselor based in the Hill Country, joined Texas Standard to speak about the range of emotions Texans are feeling and how we can begin to cope.

At TCA, we’re working to connect individuals, families, and professionals with resources that support mental and emotional healing.

You are not alone.

My heart has been heavy for all of Texas, especially for the families who have suffered unimaginable loss during this tragic time. As the initial shock begins to fade and the weight of grief settles in, please know you’re not alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling to process this loss, I’m offering a few grief counseling sessions pro bono. It’s just a small way to help hold space for healing.

Please take care of yourselves and one another. God sees every hurting heart, and His hands are big enough to carry us through even this. 💔🙏

Feeling Anxious? Try This 5-Step Panic Coping Guide 🫶
A gentle, spiritual, and trauma-informed way to calm mind, body & spirit:

1. Breathe & Ground 🧘‍♀️
Inhale 4️⃣ • Hold 4️⃣ • Exhale 6️⃣ (Repeat 3–5x)
Say: “This is just a moment. I am safe. I am not alone.”

2. Come Back to Now 🌿
Try 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding:
👀 5 things you see
✋ 4 you can touch
👂 3 you hear
👃 2 you smell
👅 1 you taste

3. Speak Truth Kindly 💬
“I’ve done hard things before—I can do this.”
“This is a wave. It will pass.”

4. Visualize Peace 🌅
Imagine a warm light around you, fear dissolving, your feet grounded.
You are steady. You are safe.

5. Connect Spiritually ✨
Whisper: “Help me find peace.”
“I trust I am supported.”
“You are not broken—you are healing.”

You’re not alone. You are loved. You are healing. 💛
