If you are following along our journey here, 📌 make sure you have logged in and created a new patient profile in the Baylor Scott & White portal, found here: http://mybswhealth.com/ 📌. This is the official patient portal for HEART patients now!

This portal allows you to make appointments, upload any documents should you wish, and communicate with our clinic. Of course, you are always welcome to call our clinic at 512-504-7411 as well.

We have exciting news! Please see the letter below that went out to our incredible patient community.

To our wonderful patients,
I am excited to announce that, effective August 11, Heart Endovascular and Rhythm of Texas (HEART) will partner alongside the Baylor Scott & White Health family. Our clinic’s name, locations, and phone number will remain the same. We will continue to accept most major insurances, including Medicare.

Heart Endovascular and Rhythm of Texas (HEART) will partner with the largest non-profit health system in Texas, benefiting from features such as a unified electronic medical record (EMR) and access to a wide array of specialties throughout the Central Texas region. This means that our Athena portal will transition over to the Baylor Scott & White portal beginning on August 11th.

Because we are switching electronic systems on August 11th, we kindly request that you settle any outstanding bills/charges you may currently have with our office before that date. You can pay your bill by accessing your Athena portal, calling our office to pay over the phone, or visiting the office to submit payment in person.

All appointments currently scheduled after August 11th will be reconfirmed with you by our staff— no need to worry! Also, after August 11, you can schedule an appointment with me by calling the office or visiting BSWHealth.com, clicking on the “Doctors” link at the top of the page, and typing “Nima Amjadi” in the “What care are you looking for?” field in the search bar. At your first appointment after August 11, you will be able to enroll at MYBSWHealth.com.

Let’s talk about that pesky blood pressure climbing up and why that can be a risk! February is American Heart Awareness Month!

“High blood pressure is also known as hypertension. It happens when the force of your blood pushing against the walls of your blood vessels is too high. How scary is this?!?! According to the American Heart Association, “Nearly half of U.S. adults have high blood pressure. Many don’t even know they have it.”

The thing about high blood pressure is it is known as the "silent killer" because it usually has no noticeable symptoms… People can have high blood pressure for a long time without realizing it, which can lead to serious health complications like heart attacks and strokes if left untreated.

If you haven’t had your blood pressure checked recently by your primary care doctor or your cardiologist, it is time.
