It's time to celebrate some wonderful RBTs, this summer we have been spotlighting members of our team for an RBT Recognition Marathon! These incredible team members at our Cedar Park clinic have been recognized by our BCBAs for their outstanding dedication, growth, and impact.

Our amazing Lead RBT Ashlin is a huge asset to our team and is a great model for both her peers and clients. Always displaying professionalism and clinical initiative, she is a great resource for her teammates and excels at collaborating with her BCBA.

Mia, a Lead RBT who has been with us for 4 years, has had such a positive impact on both our clients and clinic culture. Mia actively participates in our Culture Committee, working to maintain a positive staff culture and morale. In addition, she is great at assisting her BCBA with team management, always stepping up to help plan team outings, ensuring clients have new items, and creating therapy material.

Our Lead RBT Madison is a very dedicated and fun technician. She is amazing at building rapport with clients while still handling challenges and making things fun for each individual client. She is also an exceptional team member, advocating for her clients, always a go-to for answering questions, and offering help to her co-workers!

It's time to celebrate our amazing Culture Champion winners at our South Austin location! Thank you to all of these amazing ladies and their hard work, dedication and team spirit that they bring to One of the Kids every day. South Austin has such an amazing culture of teamwork and leadership that Nicole, Maddie and Asia represent, and the team thinks so as well. Our Absolute Ace award honors those who consistently go above and beyond with leadership and reliability. The Peacemaker recognizes individuals who bring calm, support, and steady guidance during challenges. All for One & One for All celebrates true team players who foster collaboration and open communication. Thank you again to these wonderful ladies and all they bring to our team and families we work hard to serve.

Last Saturday One of the Kids was honored to host Water Safety Day at our Cedar Park location's indoor pool! Designed specifically for autistic children ages 4–12, Water Safety Day created a welcoming, sensory-considerate environment where families could feel comfortable, supported, and confident in and around the water. Each child received individualized introductory swim lessons from instructors experienced in supporting autistic learners, while families also received complimentary life jacket fittings to help keep everyone safe during summer adventures!

Throughout the event, families learned important water safety skills, accessed sensory supports, and connected with local organizations dedicated to drowning prevention and increasing water safety awareness for autistic children. It was a wonderful day of learning, confidence-building, and community, and we're proud to help make water safety more accessible and inclusive for every family.

This amazing event was possible due to the partnership with the Autism Society of Texas, Autism Society of America, Safe Kids Austin, and dedicated community advocates including Coach Amy Linkous of Swim For All, Connie Marroquin of Premier Recreation, Bella Robledo of Elmer Swim School, and Kori Delapeña of Live Like Cati.

Thank you to every family who joined us and to all of our incredible partners and volunteers who made Water Safety Day such a meaningful success. Together, we're creating safer, more inclusive opportunities for our community!

🥳🥳 We’re proud to announce that One of the Kids Academy has EARNED ACCREDITATION from ! 🥳🥳 We’ve been recognized for our commitment to our students, educators, and larger school community.

We recently wrapped up an incredible 2025–2026 school year in the Academy! Our students and staff made this year one to remember, filled with learning, laughter, and so many special moments along the way. Our amazing teacher, Ms. Rachel poured so much care and dedication into creating meaningful experiences for her students and families throughout the year. From our exciting science fair and festive holiday performance to picture day and show and tell Fridays, there was always something to look forward to!

To celebrate a fantastic year, we closed things out with a tropical-themed summer party where students, parents, and siblings came together for an afternoon of fun and celebration. Reflecting on our students' accomplishments this year, we saw tremendous growth, hard work, and confidence shine through in so many ways. We could not be prouder of all they achieved and cannot wait to see what they accomplish in the 2026–2027 school year. A huge thank you to Ms. Rachel and our wonderful Academy families for helping make this year such a memorable one!

This month, our OOTKS Academy hosted its very own science fair, and it was incredible! Our students took the lead every step of the way, exploring their interests as they planned, researched, designed, and presented their projects to classmates and families.

From investigating how a seal’s whiskers work to creating colorful walking rainbows, the room was full of creativity and curiosity. With guidance from our amazing Ms. Rachel, students were encouraged to think creatively, ask meaningful questions, and follow through with hands-on experiments to discover their answers. Each student also built a presentation board to showcase their process and results, practicing communication and confidence along the way.

Events like this are a perfect example of how ABA principles come to life in our Academy. Through structured support, individualized learning, and positive reinforcement, our students build critical skills like problem-solving, independence, and self-expression.

One of the most special moments of the day was welcoming families into the classroom to see the students’ hard work on display. Watching our students proudly share their projects and be celebrated by their loved ones was truly unforgettable.

Experiences like our science fair highlight just how powerful it is to nurture curiosity, encourage exploration, and celebrate every success. We are beyond proud of our students and so grateful to Mrs. Rachel for bringing this experience to life!

Last week, our children and staff had an amazing time celebrating Halloween! Everyone showed up in creative costumes, and the day was filled with practice trick-or-treating, cookie decorating, and Halloween-themed crafts.

Our therapists and BCBAs turned every activity into a meaningful learning opportunity. During practice trick-or-treating, our learners worked on important social and adaptive skills, like greeting others, waiting their turn, following directions, and staying close to a trusted adult. Cookie decorating and craft time offered chances to strengthen fine motor skills, build task independence, and practice flexibility while having tons of fun!

These hands-on holiday experiences help our learners generalize skills in real-world contexts, preparing them for community events and family traditions with confidence and joy.

We’re so proud of the hard work, smiles, and excitement we saw throughout the day. Wishing everyone a belated Happy Halloween from all of us at One of the Kids!
