Does your child avoid reading, lose their place, use a finger to follow words, or complain that the text moves or blurs?
These challenges are not always caused by a lack of motivation. In some cases, the visual system may be working harder than it should to track, focus, or coordinate the eyes. Vision therapy provides individualized, supervised activities that help patients develop more efficient visual skills for learning and everyday tasks.
A vision assessment can help determine whether a visual difficulty is contributing to the struggle.

After a concussion, stroke, or other neurological event, patients may notice that reading is harder, busy environments feel overwhelming, or their balance and depth perception seem “off.” These symptoms can be related to changes in how the brain processes visual information—even when the eyes appear healthy. A neuro-optometric assessment examines visual function, eye coordination, focusing, spatial awareness, and the connection between vision and movement. Based on the findings, specialized lenses, rehabilitation, or collaborative care may be recommended. You do not have to ignore vision changes that affect daily life.

Your vision is about so much more than seeing 20/20. 👀🧠
The way we read, learn, focus, move, play sports, process information, and navigate the world all depends on how well our eyes and brain work together.
If you or your child experience things like:
✨ Difficulty reading or staying focused
✨ Headaches or eye strain
✨ Poor coordination or balance
✨ Trouble with sports or depth perception
✨ Visual fatigue from screens
✨ Difficulty with learning or processing visual information
…it may be more than “just needing glasses.”
At The Center for Vision Development, we work with children and adults to help improve the visual skills they rely on every day.
💙 Better vision. Better performance. Better confidence.

Great performance is not only about how clearly an athlete sees the scoreboard.

Reaction time, depth perception, peripheral awareness, visual tracking, and eye-hand coordination can all influence performance on the field, court, rink, or track.
Sports vision evaluations identify how an athlete uses visual information during fast-paced situations. Personalized training can then target the visual skills most relevant to their sport and position. Your eyes are part of your athletic system. Give them the same attention as the rest of your training.

When a child’s prescription becomes stronger year after year, new glasses may correct today’s blurry vision, but they do not necessarily address how quickly the myopia is progressing.
Myopia management uses specialized treatment options to help slow progression and protect a child’s long-term eye health. Treatment recommendations are personalized based on age, prescription, lifestyle, and eye measurements.

Early intervention matters. Ask us whether myopia management may be appropriate for your child.

Seeing 20/20 is only one part of vision. The brain and eyes must also work together to track, focus, process information, and move comfortably across a page.

For patients who experience reading fatigue, headaches, skipping words, poor concentration, or difficulty with eye coordination, a comprehensive vision assessment may uncover more than a standard eye chart can show. Our personalized vision therapy programs are designed to strengthen essential visual skills through guided, progressive activities.

Book a vision therapy assessment to learn how efficiently your eyes and brain are working together.
