TNS Member Spotlight: Meet TNS Board Member and Communications Committee Chair, Dr. Shivika Chandra! đź§ 

Dr. Chandra is an Associate Professor of Neurology at McGovern Medical School and serves as Medical Director for Neurology at LBJ Hospital and UTHealth-Houston clinics. She is also the Neurology Clerkship Director and Co-Director of the UT-Houston HDSA Center of Excellence.

Dr. Chandra practices as a neurohospitalist while also caring for patients with general neurologic conditions and movement disorders in the outpatient setting. We’re grateful for Dr. Chandra’s leadership and contributions to TNS! 🙌 https://bit.ly/4sQp4Kz

Neonatal seizures are common in tuberous sclerosis complex. Long-term postnatal EEG monitoring should be considered in infants with a prenatal or neonatal TSC diagnosis, particularly those with TSC2 or other high-risk features such as highly epileptogenic lesions. https://bit.ly/4ctCHZI
