A healthy man does not just protect his wife. He protects the emotional climate of the entire family. When a woman feels emotionally safe, her nervous system can finally relax. And children do not regulate themselves. They borrow their mother’s nervous system until their own brain is fully developed. That means when she is calm, they learn calm. When she feels safe, they feel safe. When she laughs, they laugh. Her peace becomes their emotional blueprint.

But a narcissistic man reverses that entire chain. He keeps the mother in survival mode. She is constantly anxious, walking on eggshells, exhausted, and emotionally overwhelmed. The children absorb that stress every single day. They become hypervigilant, anxious, people-pleasing, angry, or emotionally shut down—not because their mother failed them, but because the person who should have protected her became the source of her fear.

The fastest way to emotionally damage children is to psychologically abuse the woman who regulates their world. Abuse the mother, and you dysregulate the children. Dysregulate the children, and you change the future of an entire family. That is why a healthy man builds generations, while a narcissistic man breaks them.

People think abuse only looks like shouting, hitting, breaking things, blocking doors, or recording your weakest moments to use against you later. But abuse is also neglect when you are sick, silence when you are breaking, and indifference when you need care the most.

Sometimes abuse is not what they do loudly. It is what they refuse to do when your body, mind, or heart is collapsing. Sleeping peacefully after making you cry all night is abuse. Watching you stop eating from grief and still not caring is abuse. Acting normal after you were badly hurt is abuse.

Abuse is also abandoning you during pregnancy, refusing medical care, walking ahead when you are injured, and watching you carry everything alone while they stand there doing nothing. It is not love when someone only stays for your usefulness but disappears from your pain.
