We all have moments of being human, especially as a parent. Our own stuff comes up. Our triggers get activated. Our children push us to our limits & constantly test the boundaries. We can only take so much… which is why the moment AFTER something happens is a POWERFUL teaching moment.

We can model to our children/teens what it looks like to recover from hard moments & keep moving forward with grace. We model how to be imperfectly perfect. We model how to be human.

I am in need of donations for my sandtray therapy 〰️miniature collection〰️! Sandtray therapy is a form of Expressive Arts Therapy & it is what I specialize in as a mental health therapist. I use this healing modality with children, teens, & adults who are processing & overcoming anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, & a variety of other concerns.

The pictures in this post will give you an idea of what I am looking for & needing for the collection.

Some specific items that I am in need of:

◾️PEOPLE (all ethnicities, all ages, superheros, fictional characters, families, etc.)

◾️TRANSPORTATION (automobiles, roads, pathways, road signs, tractors, etc.)

◾️TRANSITIONS (fences, bridges, doors, etc.

◾️BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES (home, school, fantasy castle, church, etc.)

◾️FANTASY ITEMS (fairies, dragons, magical & mythical creatures, magical items, etc.)

◾️AGGRESSIVE ITEMS (fighting characters, war, swords, guns, soldiers, prison, cages, etc.)

◾️ANIMALS (farm animals, sea creatures, domesticated animals, etc.)
