Austin friends, we need your help! Give us 30 minutes and we'll thank you with a free Clozure Complete Membership for life ($200 value).

We're building Clozure, an app that puts your will, key documents and messages for the people you love all in one place. Before we launch, we want to watch real people use it and hear what's confusing, what's clunky and what works.

As a thank-you, you'll get:
✔️ A state-compliant will ($149 value), or secure storage for one you already have
✔️ A custom-printed aluminum Clozure Card™ with your name on it
✔️ Private video storage for messages to your loved ones
✔️ A personal Forever Page to share your story

And your family gets the best gift of all: knowing exactly what your wishes are and what to do if something happens to you.

🗓 Saturday 10/24 or Sunday 10/25, 30-minute slots from 1 to 3 PM
📍 Our East Austin office, 2920 E 12th St (free parking)
🪑 Only 4 seats per session. Please sign up by Wednesday, 10/21.

No prep needed and no sales pitch. Just use the app and tell us honestly what you think. We're running these sessions with UT Austin's Technology Consulting Group.

June is Pride Month, and this month we're thrilled to have renowned estate attorney and Austin Women's Magazine 'Woman to Watch,' I Am Nik Sallie, guest pen our blog about the challenges the LGBTQ+ community faces when climbing the state planning mountain.

June 2026 By Nik Sallie, Attorney & Founder, Tastemakers Legal, PLLC When marriage equality became the law of the land, many LGBTQ+ couples finally gained legal recognition that had been denied for generations. But while marriage created important rights and protections, it did not eliminate the...

Spurs fans know Game 1 is not just about the first 48 minutes. It is about preparation.

The casual fan watches the highlights. The people inside the game watch the details: who controls tempo, who knows the next rotation, who communicates under pressure, who has a plan when the first option breaks down.

That is championship basketball.

It is also life.

Because when pressure hits your family, the worst time to create a plan is in the middle of the chaos. The best teams already know the playbook. Who to call. Where the important information lives. What decisions have already been made. What matters most.

That is why we built Clozure.

We help people organize their wishes, documents, contacts, legacy details, and next steps before their family ever needs them. So when the moment comes, the people you love are not left guessing. They have a game plan.

Tonight, we are cheering for the Spurs (Coda is a BIG fan).

Always, we are cheering for families who are prepared.

Go Spurs Go.
And go make your plan. 🖤🤍❤️

We had a gentleman attend our monthly death cafe a few months back who had a near death experience and told us exactly this.

Researchers from Italy surveyed 239 palliative care professionals—nurses, hospice volunteers, psychologists, and doctors—about the dreams and visions their terminally ill patients had described to them.

The most frequently reported experiences involved reunions with people who had already died. Deceased family members, friends, sometimes pets, appearing in dreams so vivid that patients described them as feeling completely real.

It's Founder Friday, and that means we share our 'win for the week!'

This week, we had several. How could we possibly choose just one?

We shipped the latest & greatest build to the app stores, which unlocked some new features for paid members. Early feedback has been good, and we've identified some cosmetic bugs the Dev team is tackling as we speak. Coda likes bugs, so he's hoping we don't get them all before the holiday weekend.

Victoria's daughter graduated from Loyal Marymount University in Los Angeles with a Business Degree, and she's already been scooped up by a great company! They grow up so fast, y'all!

Chris was invited to 'pitch' Clozure to the startup community at the Capital Factory. We demoed the app to a room of 250 other and , to rave reviews.

Did you know that small business owners are some of the worst offenders when it comes to failing to organize a succession plan? We've worked with several families now where a child or spouse had to step in to run the family business after an unexpected loss and didn't know where ANYTHING was.

Founders/business owners: move fast and break things is NOT an effective estate plan.

Have a fun, safe holiday weekend, everyone. And if you find yourself with some time in the car, or on an airplane...why not get your estate plan in order? Download the app at clozure.vip/getapp and make sure you don't ghost those you love.

This story out of Oklahoma is another unfortunate encroachment on the separation of church and state. Natural organic reduction is a beautiful, eco-friendly option for folks who don't want to be preserved with toxic chemicals that not only endanger the morticians administering them, but also the environment, and is currently legal in 14 states! To say that truly returning to the earth is somehow 'irreverent' seems contrary to the spirit of 'ashes to ashes, dust to dust.' We're keeping a close eye on House Bill 2200 here in Texas...

Oklahoma’s push to legalize human composting has hit a major roadblock after Governor Kevin Stitt vetoed House Bill 3660.
