Somewhere along the way, many of us absorbed the idea that faith and struggle can’t coexist — that if we really trusted God, we wouldn’t feel overwhelmed, anxious, or worn down. And that if we did, we should keep it to ourselves.

But Scripture tells a different story.

From David’s honest laments to Elijah’s exhaustion to Jesus in Gethsemane, the Bible is full of faithful people who struggled openly — and were met not with rebuke, but with presence, rest, and care.

Your hard feelings aren’t a sign of weak faith. Sometimes they’re the very place faith grows.
Swipe through for five reminders of what God’s word actually shows us about emotional struggle. 🤍

And if you’re carrying something heavy right now: you don’t have to have it together to be held. Reach out whenever you’re ready — we’re here.

Sometimes anxiety is more than just “worry.”
It’s the mind that won’t slow down. The chest that stays tight. The constant feeling of being behind, of replaying every conversation, of doing your best and still feeling like it’s not enough.

If any of this feels familiar — you’re not the only one, and you don’t have to carry it alone. 🤍

At The Timothy Center, we walk alongside individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, stress, and the weight of everyday life — rooted in faith and grounded in real, professional care. We offer counseling in Austin, Georgetown, and online, so support can meet you where you are.

There are ways to slow down, to breathe again, to find steadiness. When you’re ready, we’re here to help.

Christian counseling is often misunderstood.

It’s not about ignoring real struggles or replacing them with surface-level answers. It’s about creating a space where both honesty and faith can exist at the same time.

At its core, it’s professional counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith into the process — whether that looks like prayer, reflection, or simply making space for deeper questions.

You don’t have to navigate life alone.

If you’ve ever wondered what Christian counseling actually looks like, we hope this gives you a clearer picture.

They can work together to support healing, growth, and hope.

If you have questions about counseling or getting started, we are here for you.
