Most of us expect to feel a little tired after a flight, but dehydration is often part of the reason.
Airplane cabins are kept at a much lower humidity than we’re used to, which means we lose more water through our skin and even just by breathing. On top of that, cabin pressure is similar to being at a higher altitude, so your body naturally loses a little more moisture through respiration.
Then travel does what travel does: you’re walking more, sitting for hours, sleeping less, grabbing coffee, having a cocktail, eating saltier foods, and probably drinking less water because no one wants to squeeze past their row every hour.
It’s not surprising that you can land feeling foggy, tired, headachy, or just a little “off.”
Drinking water is important, but hydration isn’t only about water. Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium help maintain fluid balance so your body can better utilize the water you’re drinking.
That’s why I never travel without my Lavender Lemonade Moonlight Minerals. They’re made with quality electrolytes, magnesium glycinate, coconut water powder, and no artificial colors, sweeteners, or added sugar. Just clean hydration that fits into my routine whether I’m at home or 35,000 feet in the air.
Have you ever noticed you feel different after flying, even on a short flight? ✈️💜
