Our Living Library: Extraordinary Minds, Extraordinary Lives was an inspiring afternoon filled with fascinating memories, meaningful conversations, and incredible life experiences shared by our resident “living books.” Each story was a reminder that wisdom grows through a lifetime of learning, resilience, and connection.

Aloha from Village on the Park at Onion Creek!

Our Luau Life Well event was the perfect way to celebrate summer and continue our Passport to Adventure journey. Residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with incredible island-inspired cuisine, outstanding entertainment by the South Austin Serenaders, and a stunning Hawaiian dancer on stilts who brought the spirit of the islands to life.

The fun didn’t stop there! Residents then gathered for a delicious Hawaiian-themed dinner, making it a full day of laughter, great food, wonderful music, and unforgettable memories.

A heartfelt thank you to Kindful Health for coordinating an informative Elder Fraud and Scam Prevention presentation with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office.

We were thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout as residents learned practical tips for recognizing scams, protecting personal information, and staying safe in today’s world. Events like these empower our residents with knowledge and confidence while strengthening our community.

Christmas came early at Village on the Park at Onion Creek, and what a celebration it was!

Our Christmas in July event was packed with holiday fun—from fantastic local vendors and delicious frozen hot chocolate to festive mimosas and poinsettia-inspired drinks. Guests enjoyed the sounds of an incredible Christmas jazz duo, making for an afternoon filled with laughter, great music, and wonderful memories.

For National Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day we had a blast as residents and team members became ice cream creators for the day, mixing in their favorite toppings Marble Slab-style to invent delicious one-of-a-kind flavors. There were plenty of laughs, sweet memories, and even sweeter creations!

Our residents recently came together to write heartfelt letters to our troops and collect donations for the Adopt a Soldier program. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to send a large box filled with goodies, encouragement, and appreciation.

Community projects like these remind us that kindness has no age. Thank you to everyone who donated, and most importantly, thank you to our soldiers for your service and sacrifice.

What an incredible evening!

Our residents are still talking about the amazing patriotic performance by the 17-piece Armadillo Swing Band. Their Glenn Miller-style music brought back wonderful memories and had everyone smiling, singing along, and enjoying a truly unforgettable night.
