Watching tight muscles release in real time isn’t magic…it’s dry needling, and it’s the gold standard in our office for treating soft tissue injuries. 🎯

Here’s what it actually does:
🔸Targets trigger points to release deep muscle tension
🔸Improves blood flow and kickstarts the body’s natural healing response
🔸Restores range of motion so you can move the way you’re supposed to
🔸Speeds recovery between hard training sessions

It’s not just for casual soreness — it’s used on elite athletes at the highest level, from the field to the gym, to stay loose, mobile, and competition or stage-ready.

Whether you’re chasing a PR, prepping for a show, or just tired of feeling “stuck” in your performance, dry needling might be the missing piece in your recovery routine!

She didn’t come in saying, “I want to powerlift.”
She came in saying, “My low back hurts and I’m scared it’ll never stop.”

Months ago, this athlete was dealing with persistent lower back pain that kept showing up every time she trained heavy.
Not an injury that “needed rest forever” — but a body that was underprepared for the demands she was asking of it.

We didn’t chase pain.
We didn’t rely on quick fixes.

We built:
• Capacity
• Confidence
• Strength under load

Fast-forward to this moment 👇
Her first powerlifting meet.
A personal record.
And a body that showed up when it mattered.

This is what progress actually looks like.
Not just feeling better — doing more.

If pain is keeping you from the goals you care about, it’s not a life sentence.
It’s feedback. And it can be trained.

Most people take time off from their body when they take time off from work.

I don’t.

Not because I’m extreme — but because movement is part of how I reset, stay present, and take care of myself.

The same principles I teach my patients apply to me:
Consistency beats intensity.
Access > excuses.
Your body works best when it’s used.

No gym. No schedule. No problem.

Just showing up — wherever I am. And having fun with it!

Major shoutout to Max for getting this workout in with me and giving my family and I a vacation we will remember forever! Give him message if you are looking to have the best vacation experience possible!

Our patients tell us the hardest part of persistent back pain isn’t the pain itself… it’s realizing it’s not going away.

They tell us it’s waking up stiff every morning.
Hesitating before bending down.
Wondering which move will set it off today.

They’ve tried PT — same sheet of exercises, different week.
They’ve tried chiro — felt better for a few hours, then right back to square one.
They’ve been told to rest, stop lifting, or “this is just part of getting older.”

But no one ever stopped to ask WHY the pain keeps coming back.

At HOG Spine and Sports, our patients tell us that’s the difference.
We don’t chase symptoms.
We dig until we find what’s actually driving the pain.

Because persistent back pain isn’t something you should “manage forever.”
It’s something you should understand — and fix.

“Back pain isn’t stopping your workouts… it’s stopping your progress.”

We hear this from athletes all the time.
You’re still showing up.
Still training.
Still grinding.

But the numbers aren’t moving.
Your lifts feel capped.
You’re modifying instead of progressing.
And every cycle feels like déjà vu.

You’ve tried PT — stuck in the corner with a sheet of exercises that had nothing to do with your sport.
You’ve tried chiro — felt better for a day, then right back where you started.
You were told to “take it easy” or “just stop for a while.”

But that doesn’t sit right with you.
Because you don’t want to stay active — you want to move forward.

At HOG Spine and Sports, our athletes tell us the difference is simple:
We stop chasing symptoms.
We find the real reason your back keeps holding you back.

If this sounds like you, DM me and let’s start a conversation to get you unstuck and one step closer to your goals.

💥 3 Common Gym Mistakes That Can Wreck Your Low Back

Low back pain in the gym isn’t always from a “bad back.”
A lot of times, it’s from habits we don’t even realize are setting us up for injury.

Here are 3 mistakes I see ALL the time:
1️⃣ Rounded deadlifts
2️⃣ No core bracing
3️⃣ Skipping warmups

The fix? ✅ Neutral spine, ✅ Braced core, ✅ Proper warmup.
Simple changes, BIG difference in your performance and pain-free lifting.

💪 Drop an emoji if you’ve made one of these mistakes (and learned the hard way).
