When I had my very first massage business in North Carolina I hand painted my gift certificates. They weren’t great, but I liked the personal touch.
Trying out watercolor now. Got a nice set for Mother’s Day. Took the full day off work, hiked with the family & painted a few hours.
Found out the day is very long when you don’t see clients!

Yesterday the power went off for an hour and a half on our street. However, I was able to work uninterrupted since last fall we put on solar panels and a battery back up.
A power outage isn’t going to  stop me from working !

Got a nice thank you note after working with a new client. We were doing a face focused session to relax but her recent low back pain wouldn't allow her to get comfortable. So I made an adjustment with her bolstering and since it worked so well talked her through how to sleep like this while recovering:

"Thank you for teaching me about the pillow under the calf trick. I did it at home last night and slept a full night for the first time in 2 weeks bc I wasn’t in pain all night! I’m so full of gratitude for you. 🙏🏽"

I’ve been doing a lot of deep harvesting from my community garden plot since there’s an upcoming freeze. Clients have been getting a bag of produce. I’ve even run out of bags and then started wrapping kale in newspaper!
