PCOS is now being reframed as PMOS:
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.
Why?
Because researchers and clinicians are recognizing that this condition affects far more than reproductive health alone.
Blood sugar,
metabolism,
inflammation,
hormones,
energy,
mental health,
and long-term health risks are all deeply connected to the condition.
For years, many women were treated only for isolated symptoms instead of the bigger metabolic picture.
This shift matters because understanding the root cause creates more opportunity for meaningful, whole-body support.
