Since 1987 AABC has provided families with three safe, homelike birthing centers for natural childbirth, including waterbirths. www.austinabc.com

Austin ABC is the only accredited birthing center in Central Texas. With three beautiful locations, AABC provides our moms and their families with a comfortable, private, home-like environment designed from the ground up by architects and interior designers working closely with our team of midwives. Each of our six birthing suites (three in each location) has a large birthing tub as well as private, high-end bathroom facilities, ensuring that our clients don’t share these amenities with other families. Austin ABC's William Cannon location also has a kitchenette in each birthing suite while our Duval Rd. location has a shared kitchen in the birthing wing. Our services cost much less than hospital deliveries and we are in-network with most major health insurance providers.

This weekend is off to a busy start at our South center with these two amazing midwives holding down the fort! Midwife Harmony and Student Midwife Emma taking a quick break between babies and postpartum appointments! Sometimes nothing happens on the weekends, and sometimes everything happens on the weekends.

One of the (many) perks of being a midwife! This sweet one kept her midwives up all night and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Our student midwife Emma, who caught this set of sweet cheeks, is cashing in on those newborn snuggles while waiting for the next round of caffeine to kick in!

One of our favorite parts of midwifery is the relationships we get to build with our clients and their families. We had the honor of watching this family grow and welcome their second baby with us.

Don't miss our upcoming breastfeeding class, designed to help you prepare for breastfeeding and navigate potential boobytraps along the way! Taught by Megan Tremmel, an RN, IBCLC with over 14 years experience helping newborns and families. This is designed for expectant couples planning to breastfeed, and also reviews bottle-feeding, pumping, and other feeding modifications that are sometimes necessary or preferred. The ideal time to take this class is the 34th-37th week of pregnancy.

Hi Everyone! One of our AABC clients is collecting disposable diapers, formula, and wipes for the Harvey hurricane victims. There are collection bins at all three of our AABC centers until this Friday so please help, if you can.

Many emergency response organizations do not deliver diapers because they are bulky so any disposable diapers you can donate will be a huge help for those families with little ones.
