For most Texas nurses, licensure renewal has become embedded in the regular routine of life to include completing the required CE hours, completing an attestation that requirements are met, and submitting the licensure renewal application in a timely manner prior to licensure expiration.

Beginning September 1, 2026, one part of that will change.
