Free food delivered to you! The Central Texas Food Bank, in partnership with the Austin Public Health Neighborhood Services Unit and Amazon.com, is expanding the Home Delivery Program! 🍓

This program is open to households with children or with adults ages 60+, individuals with a disability, veterans + active military. Participants must live in Travis Co., be in need of food assistance, + experiencing barriers to attending in-person food distributions.

To find out if you are eligible and/or to enroll in the program, contact a Neighborhood Center near you. 📌http://austintexas.gov/department/neighborhood-centers

Each box will weigh about 30 lbs + contain self stable groceries such as:

👉Oatmeal

👉Pasta

👉Masa Corn Flour

👉Dried Beans

👉Canned Protein

👉Canned Fruits + Veggies

Last night in our DBT group we did our take on the DBT diary cards. We embellished and collaged journals and created sections for checking in, use of skills, self care, and gratitude. Distress Tolerance is one of my favorite things to talk about in these groups. In my own life, I know how much using positive coping strategies can help when we are faced with emotional overwhelm and distressing experiences. I love art therapy groups! And they are even more awesome when you add DBT!

Artists are not the only ones participating in art therapy. From young to old, anyone and everyone can do it. With just a few paint brushes, crayons or markers, this type of psychotherapy can help diagnose mental disabilities, emotional trauma and can help individuals express what words cannot.
