Care Coordinator, Flora, has been a valued part of the Halcyon family for the past 6 years, growing from a Caregiver to Caregiver Coach, and now serving as a Care Coordinator. Her journey reflects the compassion, dedication, and commitment to service that defines our team.
Some moments remind us exactly why we do what we do. Here’s one for the books…
Recently, Flora had the privilege of accompanying one of her clients on a special journey to Galveston to attend her granddaughter’s graduation from the UT Medical Branch. Through the Medicare GUIDE Program and the use of her Respite Care hours, she was able to spend an unforgettable weekend surrounded by family and celebrating a milestone.
Together, they shared laughter, stories, pride, and precious moments that will be remembered for years to come, with her Care Coordinator by her side.
When the trip was over and Flora safely returned her client home, she took Flora’s hands and said:
“Because of you, I was able to be there with my family and have this beautiful experience. Thank you. I love you.”
It’s a reminder that caregiving is about more than assistance with daily tasks. It’s about helping people stay connected to the people, places, and moments that matter most.
At Halcyon, our purpose is people, and sometimes, the greatest gift we can provide is helping someone create one more cherished memory with the people they love. ❤️
