ℹ️🌿 HOW TO CHANGE THE BELIEF “I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH” |

Core beliefs are beliefs that we have about ourselves or the world. These are instinctual beliefs that we have even if we know logically that they are inaccurate.

For example, let's say that I have the core belief that I’m stupid. I would believe I’m stupid even if I knew if wasn’t true. I would believe I’m stupid while I’m also explaining all the logical reasons why I’m smart. How is this possible? Core beliefs feel instinctual. It feels as if they live in our core, our gut. They are deep and often created from our past experiences.

Negative core beliefs are rooted in past negative experiences. For example, if people called me stupid as a child and/or if I was constantly struggling in school, these experiences could create the belief that I’m stupid. Negative core beliefs are so deeply ingrained in us that it’s easy to feel as if they cannot be changed. Yet, they can be changed.
