Wednesday Word of the Day: RELEASE
Just as pressure builds inside a sealed container, stress, frustration, anger, grief, and worry can build up within us when they go unaddressed. Over time, that emotional pressure can affect our thoughts, relationships, physical health, and overall well-being.
Release is the healthy process of letting out that built-up pressure before it becomes overwhelming. It doesn’t mean avoiding difficult emotions—it means acknowledging them and expressing them in constructive ways.
Healthy ways to release built-up pressure:
• Exercise or engage in physical activity
• Talk with a trusted friend, mentor, or therapist
• Journal your thoughts and feelings
• Practice deep breathing, mindfulness, or prayer
• Spend time in nature
• Engage in hobbies that help you recharge
Today, take a moment to reflect:
What pressure have you been carrying, and what healthy step can you take to begin releasing it?
“Releasing built-up pressure isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of wisdom. Healthy release creates room for peace, clarity, and growth.”
