Meaningful connection strengthens the work we do.

Omega Recovery BD Rep Ashley Spencer recently hosted women from the Austin-area treatment community for a lunch focused on connection, collaboration, and the changing landscape of mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

We are grateful for the providers, advocates, and leaders who continue to show up for individuals and families seeking care. Strong community partnerships help create stronger pathways to healing. πŸ’™

At Omega Recovery, we know that depression can look different from person to person, but there are common signs that often signal it is time to seek support. Many people experience a persistent low mood marked by sadness, hopelessness, or emptiness β€” though for some, depression shows up as irritability, frustration, or anger. A loss of interest in activities that once brought joy, including intimacy, is another hallmark symptom. Depression can also bring excessive guilt, feelings of worthlessness, and a deep fatigue that rest does not seem to relieve. Difficulty concentrating, making decisions, and retaining memories are common as well. Some people move or speak more slowly than usual, while others feel a restless inability to sit still. Recognizing these signs in yourself or someone you love is the first step toward getting the help that can make a real difference.

Borderline Personality Disorder affects an estimated 4 to 5 million Americans, with countless more potentially undiagnosed and struggling without support. BPD typically develops during adolescence or early adulthood and can impact every area of life β€” from emotional regulation and self-image to relationships and impulse control β€” making early treatment critical. For Texas residents seeking care, Austin offers a uniquely supportive environment: abundant green spaces, a strong psychiatric-to-resident ratio, a comprehensive mental health support network, and a community culture that prioritizes connection and well-being. At Omega Recovery, we are an accredited national and local provider with over a decade of delivering high-quality clinical care to individuals struggling with BPD and other mental health conditions. Our individualized treatment plans combine evidence-based and experiential therapies delivered across a full continuum of care, with the clinical depth and experience needed to produce real, lasting results. If you or someone you love is ready to take the first step, visit omegarecovery.org or call (512) 601-5407. https://omegarecovery.org/finding-the-right-bpd-treatment-center-texas-residents-can-trust/

Ignoring poor mental health doesn't make it better β€” it makes symptoms worse, and the effects can reach every corner of a person's life. At Omega Recovery, one of Austin's premier mental health treatment centers, care is built around a structured continuum that meets clients where they are and supports them through every phase of healing. Our PHP and IOP programs combine evidence-based therapies β€” CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, somatic therapy, and medication management β€” with experiential approaches like adventure therapy, nature-immersion therapy, and narrative therapy, addressing the whole person rather than just the diagnosis. We treat anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, tech addiction, and co-occurring conditions, and as the country's leading program specializing in the complex issues of the Digital Age, we bring a depth of clinical perspective that sets us apart. Whether you're exploring treatment for the first time or stepping back into care, Omega Recovery is ready to help. Internal Family Systems therapy helps clients go beneath the surface of their symptoms to understand the deeper emotional patterns driving them. By identifying triggers and exploring where they come from, IFS gives people a clearer picture of their inner world. Rather than approaching difficult emotions with judgment, IFS encourages curiosity β€” a shift that builds lasting emotional regulation over time. This process reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression by creating a safe, compassionate inner dialogue that replaces self-criticism with understanding. At the heart of IFS is reconnection with the core Self, helping clients move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of who they are.

Partial hospitalization is one of the most powerful levels of care available β€” and at Omega Recovery, our Austin TX partial hospitalization program is built to prove it. Full-day clinical programming gives clients the structure and intensity needed to do real therapeutic work, while still returning home each evening to practice what they're learning. Every day moves through individual therapy, group sessions, skills-based programming, and experiential work including adventure therapy and nature immersion β€” backed by integrated psychiatry and medication management throughout. Our clinical team draws from CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring the treatment plan to each person rather than applying a formula. We treat the full range of mental health conditions β€” anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, BPD, PTSD, trauma, and dual diagnosis β€” and when PHP is complete, clients step into our five-day and three-day IOP as part of a seamless continuum. Recovery with real structure behind it looks different than anything most people have experienced. Call us at (512) 601-5407 or visit omegarecovery.org to start the conversation. https://omegarecovery.org/how-an-austin-tx-partial-hospitalization-program-supports-structured-recovery/
