Prime Care of Ava Prime Care of Ava is a primary care office that takes care of chronic health problems as well as acute injuries or illnesses. to 5:00 P.M.

We offer lab services, EKG, immunizations and many other services. We do accept walk-ins on a regular basis but are not an “urgent Care” clinic. We are happy to see patients but acute illnesses or injuries but welcome those patients return for their routine care as well. We do not feel that patients should be made to wait weeks for an appointment. There are many times that a patient must be seen

the same day, and we will always accommodate these needs. Our office is open Monday through Friday 7:30 A.M. and Saturdays 9 to 2 (coming 01/01/17). Our office is staffed by a talented team of nurse practitioners who have a wide variety of experience.

We have received several questions regarding Devoted Health coverage at our clinic.

While we are still currently listed as “out of network” with Devoted, we have successfully submitted multiple claims that have been processed and paid at what appears to be in-network rates. Because of this, we are willing to continue filing claims to Devoted on behalf of our patients while awaiting further communication and contracting updates from the insurance company.

At this time, claims appear to be processing appropriately; however, if Devoted changes how claims are handled or processed in the future, patients may be responsible for any unpaid balances not covered by their plan.

***For now, we are comfortable seeing Devoted patients by collecting only the copay due at the time of service and submitting claims for processing, rather than requiring full payment upfront as a self pay patient.***

As always, we encourage patients to verify their individual benefits directly with their insurance provider. Please contact our office with any questions—we’re happy to help however we can!

April is excited to be serving her hometown and building meaningful relationships with her patients. She has spent time getting to know our team and workflow, and we’re confident she will be a great fit for our clinic and community.

She is in the office full-time Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and is now accepting new patients.
