For many women, PCOS has never felt like it was only about the ovaries.

Irregular cycles. Skin changes. Weight concerns. Metabolic shifts. Hormonal symptoms that can affect daily life in very different ways.

That’s part of why there’s growing attention around PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) — a name intended to better reflect the broader hormonal and metabolic aspects associated with the condition.

It’s also a reminder that PCOS was never simply about “cysts on the ovaries,” and ovarian appearance alone does not define the condition.

It isn’t simply a new name. It reflects an effort to recognize the bigger picture and support more comprehensive understanding and care.

PCOS remains the widely recognized term today, but the discussion around PMOS highlights how our understanding of women’s health continues to evolve.

Have you been following the discussion around PMOS?

Let us pause to remember and honor those whose service and sacrifice helped preserve the freedoms we have today.

Memorial Day is also a reminder to rest, reflect, and reconnect with the people and communities around us.

As we remember those who served, may we also recognize that freedom requires ongoing care, commitment, compassion, and connection.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Hot flashes are often seen as “just part of menopause,” but they can affect daily life and overall well-being more than many women realize.

The good news? You do not have to simply live with them.

Every woman’s experience with perimenopause and menopause is different, which is why individualized care matters.

If you’re experiencing hot flashes, know that support and treatment options are available.
