Over many years as a physician, I have had countless conversations with patients and their families.

I've watched what happens when someone becomes ill, has surgery, begins to lose independence, or simply reaches a point in life when they need more help.

The medical problem itself is difficult enough. But what often surprises families is everything that comes with it. Suddenly there are medications to manage, doctors to call, appointments to attend, bills to pay, insurance questions to answer, documents to locate, and family members trying to figure out who is responsible for what.

And it can happen very quickly. One day, Mom and Dad are managing their own lives. Then something changes. And suddenly the family is trying to manage everything. I've seen loving, capable families become overwhelmed — not because they weren't willing to help, but because they didn't have a system.

👀 Just checking to see what my staff is doing in between patients…

Apparently, I picked a good time to check. 😂

At this stage, swelling has gone down significantly and you can already see a smoother, tighter contour taking shape. The incision line (scar) is still in its early healing phase — slightly pink or darker — which is completely normal. Dr. Felice is mindful to hide this scar to be easily disguised under swimsuits and underwear 💗

Over the next several months, scars typically fade and soften as the body continues to heal. Most patients notice significant lightening around 6–12 months post-op, with continued improvement up to 18 months. 🌤️
