Yoga Nidra is back, and the first session is tonight!

Join Alexa Maestranzi on the first and third Thursdays of the month starting in June. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation,” usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis).

This practice can be suitable for absolutely anyone but has immense value for those suffering from:
⭐ sleep deprivation
⭐ trauma
⭐ anxiety or depression

Our pose of the month for June is Hanuman or Monkey Pose!

Hanuman is a revered yoga posture that embodies strength, flexibility, and spiritual devotion. Named after Hanuman, a heroic figure in Hindu mythology known for his unwavering loyalty and extraordinary abilities, this pose symbolizes the qualities of courage and humility.

Monkey Pose requires practitioners to gracefully move into a deep split (or half split), aligning the body in a way that not only stretches the muscles but also invites a sense of mindfulness and balance. When yogis engage in the exploration of this pose, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, connecting with the essence of Hanuman’s devotion and embodying the virtues of physical and mental resilience.
