Darlene Anne Dadds, 70, of Galivants Ferry, passed away August 8, 2026 at McLeod Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after a short illness.Born in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland to the late Roland Oscar Dadds and Virginia Mae (Ervin) Dadds, she moved as a young girl to Mullins, where she received her education, worked and raised her family. Darlene worked faithfully for 36 years at AVM motors before retiring to enjoy a quiet country life surrounded by her family and friends. She enjoyed nature and spent her days soaking up the beauty of her own backyard.She is survived by her soulmate, Randall “Booty” Floyd, with whom she shared a home and endless love. Darlene also leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie Dadds (Christopher), her granddaughter, Ellis Wait of Myrtle Beach; her sister Annette Espinosa of Idaho, her children Shawn and Stacey and their families; her beloved Niece Ryan Dadds of Hawaii; a sister Marshall Dadds of Mullins, her children Winn and Raymond and their families ; a soon-to-be daughter Mindy Floyd (Charlie), their children, Brayden Floyd, Maddie Barnhill, and Taylor Richburg; a soon-to-be sister, Jenny Todd; a trusted and ever-present friend, Diane Singleton; a special “grandbaby”, Macy Mew, her trusted and loved dog, Petey; and a wealth of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.Darlene has joined in eternal rest her mother and father, brothers: Roland, Jr., Jay and Thomas Dadds, her beloved friends who have gone on before her, and a handful of pets who surely met her at the rainbow bridge.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, techs, respiratory therapists, doctors, and entire care team in the CCU at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Their loving care and medical expertise made Darlene’s final days peaceful.A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience. The family will receive friends and flowers at 290 Zion Road, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544. Darlene spent her life loving and caring for her animals and found a great deal of joy in nature. Mrs. Eloise M. Tarte, of Myrtle Beach, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at her residence with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Eloise was the daughter of the late Joe and Eliza Barfield Miles. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings: Edward Miles, Delbert Miles, J.W. Miles, Dean Robinson and Myrtle Lee Parker. Mrs. Tarte was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She attended Socastee Family Worship Center and loved cooking and caring for her family and the community, especially those in need. Surviving Mrs. Tarte are her husband, George Eddie Tarte; one son, Tony Tarte of Myrtle Beach; two daughters, Nan Harrington (Jamie) of New Zion, NC, and Janice Frye of Kingstree; five grandchildren, Ashley Coker (Wes), Jessica Harrington, Tiffany Frye, Derek Frye, and Brett Frye; and five great-grandchildren, Quentin Coker, Callie Jess Coker, Reese Harrington, Coker Frye, and Macayla Frye. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Eloise's caretakers: her two granddaughters, Ashley and Jessica, the team at Rest Care, Adrian, Barbara, Chloe, and O’Malley. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor with Rev. Dean Morgan and Rev. Chuck McElroy officiating. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home following the service before burial at Aynor Cemetery.

Brenda Hay Knight, 76, of Aynor, S.C., entered her eternal Home peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Brenda was the daughter of the late Allen Mason Hay, Sr., and Alice Austin Hay. After Brenda graduated from Rice Business College in Charleston and early in her marriage to “Dickie,” the two of them made the decision for Brenda to be a “stay-at-home” Mom. She carried out that responsibility with much dedication and love over the years, raising three awesome children! She served faithfully alongside Dickie through his many years of ministry! Brenda was a member of Harleyville First Methodist Church, Harleyville.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard (Dickie) Hayes Knight; a son, Ricky Knight (Rita) of Clover, S.C.; two daughters, Richelle Hardee (Craig) of Aynor, S.C., and Blakely Cunningham (Matt) of Blythewood, S.C.; ten grandchildren, Emma Hardee, Hayden Hardee, Rilan Cunningham, Kailyn Knight, Paxton Cunningham, Brinley Knight, Layna Hardee, Carsten Cunningham, Hayes Knight, and Breason Cunningham; two brothers, Allen Hay and Don Hay of Harleyville, S.C.

Two Celebration of Life services for Brenda will be held. Due to renovations at Aynor Methodist Church, the first one will be at Brown Swamp Church, Conway, S.C., on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Atrium. The second service will be held at Brenda’s home church, Harleyville First Methodist Church, Harleyville, S.C., on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Darrell Ricketts and Rev. Richard “Dickie” Knight will be officiating both services. A private family graveside service will be held following the visitation at the Harleyville Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their deepest love and appreciation to Brenda’s caregivers, Keith Ceurvels and Crescent Hospice and Shannon Carroll, who were so loving and compassionate to Brenda during her Alzheimer’s journey. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity or church of one’s choice or to Crescent Hospice, 1516 East Highway 501, Suite 101, Conway, South Carolina 29526. Mrs. Claudia Rachel Gause, age 89, wife of the late Rev. Loyd Ford Gause, passed away July 16, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Rachel was born on October 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Isaac and Vic King Jones. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rachel was preceded in death by one son, Victor Wayne Gause; one daughter, Linda Ann Rabon; and her three brothers, J.B. Jones, Paul Jones, and Dolphus Jones. Mrs. Rachel is survived by her son, Loyd Dean Gause (Allison); six grandchildren, Dana Carroll (Wesley), Matthew Gause, Joshua Gause (Taylor), Casey Gause, Adam Rabon (Christian), and Magan Rabon Benton (Mitchell); eight great-grandchildren; and one sister: Alma Cooke. Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends before the service, which begins at 2:00 PM in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Mr. Tillman Roger Holden, age 64, passed away on July 8, 2026, in Florida. Mr. Roger was the son of Marva Dean Holden and the late Tillman Wilson Holden. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by one great-grandson, Kaizynn Green. Mr. Roger loved to hunt and fish, especially hunting hogs. He loved to cook and is known for his famous Aint’er Good Seasoning and Sauces. Mr. Roger will also be remembered for his handyman services. He loved his girls and grandchildren with his whole heart. Surviving Mr. Roger are his two daughters, Sonni Holden (Nicholas) and Mindy Edwards (Stephen); one son, Corey Causey; five grandchildren, Christian Holden, Wade Holden, Walker Holden, William Edwards, and Beverly Edwards; one great-grandson, Zaidynn Green; one sister, Sandra Martin (Larry); and significant other, Marsha Causey. Mrs. Wyand was born March 23, 1931, a daughter of the late John Calvin and Mary Shade Potts. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wyand was also predeceased by her husband:George E. Wyand and one sister: Yvonne Frankenberry. She was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church and loved reading books, crocheting, and playing cards, especially Rummy. Mrs. Wyand is survived by one daughter: Tana Lori Floyd (Barry); three grandchildren: Nicole McPherson (Eric), Michael Stewart, and Scott Richardson; five great-grandchildren: Shea McPherson, Derek McPherson, Lilah Stewart, Luke Stewart, and Camryn Richardson; and two brothers: John C. Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Frye, age 93, passed away on July 6, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 13, 1932, a daughter of the late George Carroll and Mattie Griggs Winburn. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frye was also predeceased by her husband, Dock W. Frye; one daughter, Debra F. Allen; four brothers, J.C., Cecil, Gene and Johnny Winburn; and four sisters, Vera Johnson, Mildred Wise Floyd, Irene Lambert and Eva Winburn. She was a member of Red Hill Southern Methodist Church and The Missionary Society. Mrs. Frye will be remembered as a pillar of the community and for always taking care of family, friends, and neighbors. The family of Mrs. Frye would like to thank the dedicated staff of Agape Hospice, as well as Elizabeth Holden and Annette Parker, for all the great care and love they provided to their mother. Mrs. Frye is survived by two daughter: Vicki Frye Jordan (Steve) and Amy F. Nobles Grainger (Craig); her son in law: Steve Allen; eight grandchildren: Heath Allen (Ruby), Angie Hilburn (Rev. Randy), Kyle Nobles (Kate), Ethan Nobles, Hayli Burris (Blake), Hunter Jordan, Hanna Owens (Anthony) and Kacie Barnhill; and thirteen great grandchildren: Tanner Allen, Eli Allen, Dock Hilburn, Eva Hilburn, Web Nobles, Gabe Nobles, Emmett Nobles, Elam Nobles, Reed Burris, Madison Causey, Hudson Owens, and Bristol and Wyatt Barnhill. Mr. Michael Anthony LiBrizzi Jr., age 51, of Conway, SC, passed away on July 3, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Michael was the son of Michael LiBrizzi Sr. and Phyllis LiBrizzi. Michael is also survived by his sister, AnnMarie Jimenez, and his brother-in-law, Gil; nephews, Giovanni, Dominick Jr., Anthony, and Nicholas; great-nieces and nephew, Jazlyn, Harmony, and Little G. Michael was a member of Ekklesia, where he loved worshipping his Lord in many capacities. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews and nieces. Mr. Michael is predeceased by one brother, Dominick LiBrizzi. A church-led Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Ekklesia. The family will then receive friends following the service.
