THERAPY TUESDAY: Did you know that MHM has a partnership with our local YMCA to offer Aquatic Therapy locally?

Aquatic therapy, or pool therapy, consists of an exercise program that is performed in the water. It is a beneficial form of therapy that is useful for a variety of medical conditions. Aquatic therapy uses the physical properties of water to assist in patient healing and exercise performance.

Patients with muscle spasms, back pain, and fibromyalgia find aquatic therapy especially therapeutic.

WEDNESDAY WISDOM: May is "Older Americans Month". One of MHM's Physical Therapists, Dr. Daryl Hall, met with Rotarians to discuss physical therapy and its relation to fall prevention.

Daryl encouraged, "If your yard looks bad, you work on it. Too many people notice that their balance is getting worse and never do anything about it until it's too late. We can help you BEFORE you fall."
